Any y'all gotta problem havin this glorious event in a quasi-totalitarian state where freedoms is quelled and its people abused?

Or do y'all overlook that to let an emergin economic superpower have itself the world stage, and open it to the 21st Century?

The Olympics is about the sports, the athletes and sometimes their stories...  not politics...

Location to me is not an issue. If the Olympics were held in the jungles of Africa where the Amhara or Chewa tribes reside or in areas where female circumcision occurs, I would still be glued to the television.

The Chicom economic model is utopia for the one worlders at the UN, the IOC, the EC, Who, and the rest of the internationalist fascists, who will not rest until all the peasants (that'd be you and me) are stooped over in the rice fields meeting quotas set under the current five year formula developed by the agricultural central planning committee. Welcome to your future.

I agree.  The Olympics should be held in, I dont know, lets say the South Bronx!  The most rivetting part would be after the Swedes win the Gold Medal there is a scenario outside where they get their gold medals robbed by some gun-wielding thugs.  All you need is that, some pop corn, the AC blasting, and away we go!

Been to the South Bronx a bunch of times... never saw the gun wielding thugs.  Imagine that.

Not like these German cats who obviously saw a different Bronx (about 1:00) in.

nice quote from the first waterboarder.

the people who broke their butts to get to the games should be the main focus.  the lazy slobs who hand out pamphlets should get their own event.

Right.....
