All signs point to him having the experience to know how to build a reputable program. Let's see if he can deliver on that.
Surely a ton better than not having any real AD since Manetta before 2001. Tan-man was our most noble small-time effort since then. It seems from all indications, Cragg comes from the background we need. A smaller, essentially basketball-focused school that has had more success at this than any other. Kudos to SJU admin for getting this done. I think it gives us our best shot at actually turning this thing around. And truth be told, I really do think Mullin needs a GM-figure to help him make some of these executive decisions like hiring assistants and somebody in his ear that actually has his attention.
I heard the ad’s interview. If what he said is true. Plenty of changes are coming.
I don’t think he necessarily wants to get rid of mullin, but an experienced assistant was needed from day 1. Anyone paying attention knew that. I can’t believe part time Mitch lasts much longer.
I believe mullin’s seat got a whole lot warmer. The ad wants and expects to win. One recruiter is not going to get it done. I can’t imagine witnessing Greg st. Jean do most of the coaching will impress him to much either.
Last years team had flaws. But is shouldn’t have finished tied for last place. With heron we have plenty of talent coming in. Their should be high expectations.
Chris Mullin isn’t paid to try or improve . He is paid to win basketball games.
