Ah that makes me so happy. Knowing that no matter what the school values my opinions more than yours.

Fair enough. For my part I'm indifferent to you and your opinion and to the university's opinion of your opinion. Which indifference I'll demonstrate by never reading anything you write on this board again, ever. See you in the funny papers, stupid.

As the world turns in the authority signalling, post-modern, neo-Marxist, identity politics, micro aggressed condition ... and with the House over to the leftists ... Im moving to Texas ...

Your next post about St Johns basketball will be your first despite your 30 posts. 4chan might br a better fit for you.

I would love for there to be a block button and just have any of the garbage you post remain invisible.

Failing that you could look for the picture of David Hoag speaking truth to power and scroll past the accompanying text. At least until you succeed in having me banished.

Fact of the mater is you are disobeying community rules that Dave put together in 2007.  Perhaps those rules mean nothing.  However, if they are meant to be followed then they should be enforced.

I've been posting here for quite a while and believe that my behavior generally comports with rules of the forum and of civility even. I mean sure, sometimes I'm a tad intemperate, but so are we all. I doubt the odd mention of cancer violates any community standards and there's quite a bit of name calling, especially in the off season, when things are slow. Why even a poster as decorous - and self righteous - as you called me a "dick head"  a few weeks ago. Needless to say I was terrifically triggered but I laid down for a bit in a safe space with my teddy bear and got over it.

I'd venture to guess we've been in the same room if you attend alumni gatherings. I'm not hard to find.

Alas I was not afforded the luxury of a Saint John's education. And neither do I attend gatherings. Unfortunately I'm not hard to find either, having been doxxed by a disgruntled reader who used a picture of my mailbox as his personal avatar and PM'ed me to let me know that he "knows where [my] wife works." Talk about your common decency. If you want to come by some time and punch me in the face happy hour starts mid afternoon ish, but you have to bring your own mixers because I drink out of the bottle and mind the Chows (that's not a racial slur, I hasten to add, but a breed of dog), they haven't had any exercise since a couple of Witnesses stopped by last month. Failing that, enjoy the season, I smell a Sweet 16.
Wait wait wait.  You're not alumni? You dig your toes in the sand and take this Mullin is the second coming of John Wooden/ 1985 forever/ Steve Lavin is the anti-christ position but you neither donated any money nor have ever attended our university.  In my opinion, you have no skin in this game and your opinion does not matter to me.  St. John's was my home for 8 years.  The basketball team is a part of me. The opinions I express are based on my personal belief of what's best for this basketball team because I derive a great sense of pride and personal self worth on how successful St. John's is. You're just a fan (maybe) of the program.  No wonder you stated you'd rather have Mullin as coach then Lavin even if it meant Mullin went winless.  You don't actually care about this program the way some of us do.

As far as you following the rules, I direct you to the third sentence of Dave's pinned Rules/Tips thread.
Some (very brief) forum rules:
    * Respect other posters.  Insults, and flames will not be tolerated
There's no way you're following that.

I know nothing about what some old poster did with your wife nor do I have any desire to commit senior citizen assault so you can stop with all the violence talk.

ok, so you have to be a grad to give a sh*t?  Got it, guess I will stop posting back here.  I have a very similar background to Foad's (father was SJU undergrad class of '60, law class of '63, was a past alumni association president and a was awarded a Caritas Medal by the university, and I grew up going to all SJU home games with him from 1980 through 1995), and connections that (before they died) ran to Louie, Kaiser and Fr. Cahill , but ok, got it.  Thanks for the brilliant insights.
Nope, don't have to be a grad to give a sh*t but if you're going to take such a strong stance on CM being a good coach for this program that you're going to refer to everyone with a dissenting opinion as "stupid" I would assume that you at least have some skin in the game.

I'm a big Phillies, Eagles and Sixers fan.  I certainly give a sh*t about those teams but St. John's hoops is something bigger for me.  The success of the basketball program brings attention to the university and has a positive affect on the lives of alumni.  I can certainly understand how being a fan of a successful basketball program can bring joy to all fans but you can't argue that a fan is going to have the same connection to the school as an alumnus.

You didn't read what I wrote closely. Enjoy the season.

2 people got into an argument of over something silly. One experienced older gentleman who has little to do in his life except start fights over his key board. The other guy came here because he likes St. John’s basketball. If he wasn’t antagonized by this loser in his basement  I don’t think he would ever post anything to upset any of you.
