Thanks for the brilliant insights.Nope, don't have to be a grad to give a sh*t but if you're going to take such a strong stance on CM being a good coach for this program that you're going to refer to everyone with a dissenting opinion as "stupid" I would assume that you at least have some skin in the game. I'm a big Phillies, Eagles and Sixers fan. I certainly give a sh*t about those teams but St. John's hoops is something bigger for me. The success of the basketball program brings attention to the university and has a positive affect on the lives of alumni. I can certainly understand how being a fan of a successful basketball program can bring joy to all fans but you can't argue that a fan is going to have the same connection to the school as an alumnus.
I too , am not a grad, But my father was , and he would tell me how good SJU BB was. He went there on the GI bill after serving in WW2 and I saw my first SJU game w him.
