Game 2: Bowling Green, 6:30P (FS2, 970 AM)
« on: November 08, 2018, 01:10:09 PM »
They finished 16-16 last season and return all of their talent led by imposing big man Demajeo Wiggins 6'10/240. He tested the NBA draft waters last Spring after averaging 13/10 last season, Keita's first test before Rutgers' front line next Friday night. Sophomore guard Justin Turner led them in scoring last season @16ppg, 6'4/205. Let's see how the roster matches up against a unfamiliar Ohio bred opponent.

Much better team then last time. Need to come out with same energy. Hoping to see similar outcome. Even though they are better then Loyola-Maryland. Still a cupcake

Absolutely.  These guys lost 11 of their last 16 and 6 in a row to end 2017-2018.

Didn’t we also lose quite a few games last year, too? Just like we can improve others can too. They won 16 games. We won 16 games. They should be on our schedule in early November.

Definitely a different type of team from Loyola, gotta bring the energy.

Speaking of I will bring my energy as I picked up some classic $6 tickets from StubHub.

They didn’t add any 5 star players. Don’t get your point. They could have the best team in school history and we should win comfortably. Mac hasn’t had a a good team since Wally

Buffalo has been ok recently. This team is expected to be mid pack in their league

Nice opportunity for not so big men to play against a Big East caliber center early.

I expect to make easy work of them, but I wouldn't mind if they taught us an early lesson on the glass so the team can come with that as a focus against Rutgers.

My point is both teams were bad. We have improved but we really have no idea if Bowling Green has improved, too.

Also, we should always be wary of any MAC team. This is not a cup cake league.

I respect BG's size and average age, I think they bring it. That being said, we have superior talent and our depth will show off as the game rolls along. Get me to Queens:

Reality check.

We are...St. Johns!

Arguably the worst Big East team ever not named Depaul and they came late to the party.  We don't schedule cupcakes. We are the cupcake.

We can not look past any opponent!  Who the hell are we?  I saw Stac stomp us once by 30+.

I see that the talent level has taken a bump up this year but the name on the front of the shirt means something.  And for the past twenty years or so, that name has been sh*t.

Bowling Green looks like likely NIT team. Not a cupcake.

Interesting to see Ponds get subbed out at 12:43 before the under 12. Probably a sign we'll see him play 36-37 mpg later in the year.

LJ sets up shooters well with his threatening skill set. His D needs work though.

Heron was amazing on their NbA prospect center. He pushed him out of the post. Awesome to see.

I like this BG team.

It's amazing what good coaching and an offensive system can do. Mullin getting sideline outwitted once again. Let's see what adjustments they make.
