I'm 58. You're only 20 percent wrong, which is much closer than your usual guesses. <adjusted the %, failure to carry the one>
Maybe not clever.
little movement from last week: 30 (-1) in NET; 32 (=) in AP; 28 (-1) in Coaches.
Week of 12/17Net: 27 (+3); AP: 29 (+3); Coaches: 28 (=).
We're ranked higher than Nova. Sweet.
Finally we're at Nova's level.
Need GT, Cal, Rutgers, and VCU to get some W's before conference play.
Meh, GT, Rutgers and Cal are in power conferences so they will go on the resume as good wins even if they are losing to Fordham and Gardner Webb. That’s how it works, right?
I think if the tournament were held today, SJU would be in. In that sense, the ooc has served its purpose. Regardless of what happens, none of their wins so far will be enormous resume builders, but collectively they've beaten a few ok teams. just need to hold serve when conference play rolls around. ~22 wins and they'll be in.
Week of 12/24Net: 27 (=); AP: 28 (+1); Coaches: 27 (+1)On the cusp. Probably squeak in with a win over SH, but not many games this week so not a lot of opportunities for teams above to lose.
Back up to #24 in the NET rankings! This is just absurd. -9 for losing to a good SH on the road and then +12 for beating Marquette by 20.The point differential is what really moved us. This metric will not be kind to our tough schedule ahead.
"tough schedule ahead" - I wouldn't call the immediate upcoming schedule tough. St. John's doesn't play a team currently ranked in the month of January. In fact, the only current ranked opponents on the remaining schedule are Duke & Marquette.
You don't think playing @ #1 Duke and the Big East schedule with no easy out is tough?
Princeton beat a ranked Arizona State team at there place yesterday.
