Need to get him going. Wouldn't mind seeing us run him a few sets early next game to get him feeling good

he looks like he has zero confidence in his shot

Now that's unselfish from Ponds setting up Heron for the 3 ball.

he looks like he has zero confidence in his shot

I don't think that's it. He's not a catch and shoot guy. Likes to pull up which requires the ball in his hands.

more trash from heron
Heron should be driving on this team all game. They have no one who can stop him or Clark on the drive.

This isn't a game you want to thrash an opponent by doing what you know you can do well. It's a chance to work other stuff like getting Simon looks off hard cuts and postups.

We can press them and let Ponds score 40 to destroy them, but that won't make us any better. This is no different than a boxer refusing to knock out an inferior opponent so he can get his rounds in before a big fight.

Heron needs to continue working on his drive game. He's got to refine it before conf play begins. As he just cuts to the hoop and gets the And 1.   ::)

Low energy game against a clearly inferior opponent. Ponds passed up at least five WIDE OPEN layups at the basket to get others involved. That tells you all you need to know about this game never being in jeopardy.

Glad to see Simon getting some looks down low and working with Mitch on low post moves prior to the game. Great sign.

We need a better strategy against the zone.

I was at the game MSM came out very hot. We were playing good D but they kept knocking down shots. The way they played tonight it's hard to believe they haven't won. 8-0.

at the end of the day 8-0.  not many positives from the game besides marvin clark getting out of his funk and me possibly winning a watch.   :)

Tonight was about Ponds distributing with a focus on Clark. Makes sense that they’ll do the same against Princeton.

Some takeaways win is a win 8-0
1. Played awful defensively and this habbit is going to be hard to break
2. Simon and Clark played very well tonight
3. Mustapha way to. Much 1-1 ball not liking his game right now
4. Ponds looked to only pass tonight and ya that will help him there was times he had wide open layups he just needs to take
5. Trimble is awful give Williams his minutes
6. We need Keita back or we are in trouble big east play
7. Love Liz Mullin throwing shade at the baby Zach on Twitter

Let’s go beat Princeton

We definitely need to find a way to execute better against different zone looks. It could be a major problem especially against the Marquette's, Creighton's and Providence's who have real size.

8-0 fellas. Defense was not good but they  took another huge step with Simon's transformation today and got Clark going. Also got some good experience against a zone. One step at a time.
