Lavin helped Moe Harkless blossom and it didn't exactly translate into Kyle Anderson. It's hard to use this method but it certainly doesn't hurt.

Ultimately sustained winning is the key.

I think Grayson Allen is a POS. I think he was garbage at Duke and I think he’s garbage now, but he was still a first round pick.

Lets see..

Degree from Duke - check
All American - check
National Champion - check
1st Round NBA draft pick - check
4 year guaranteed contract for over $10.5mm - check

yes - he is total POS

Lavin could have had KA, just wouldn't pay what the kid wanted...

Lavin helped Moe Harkless blossom

Why didn't he help so many other players blossom is the question.

Harkless was only a one year player, but I think he is a great person to point to as far as exposure.  He wasn't even top 40 and he was a near lottery pick in every mock draft three months into his freshman season. That sweet spot of 30-60 is the kind of player I'm talking about.  Why risk being a third fiddle or get recruited over at a blue blood?

No reason at all.  Come to Nba training grounds U. St. Johns!

I think J'raan Brooks just wanted to lose closer to home thats why he chose USC. These Bigs getting no burn out west could have helped us this year, J'Raan, Jordan Brown, and even  look at Adonis Delarosa in the mid west averaging 2.8 ppg and 2.4 rbg for the Illini! Do you think he's jumping anyone in the showers there? I think winning will help all recruiting, they won't say oh Im going to St. John's to be like ponds if we aren't a winning program. What winning player would want to play for Mullin? I have high hopes for this year, but he hasn't won a thing yet....that all changes on December the 29th

Brooks could have helped us for sure. We can always get him as a transfer :)

Heron looks lost out there probably regrets coming here. We don’t run any offense and our defense consist of constant switching due lack of size.

The shots should be taken by Ponds, Heron, and LJ. This system encourages Simon or anyone else to take fade away jump shots with 20 seconds left on the shot clock.

Wasn’t it really Dunlap that helped harkless blossom?  Lavin was very limited after surgery.

Harkless was good. Coaches at times receive too much credit.

Harkless growing to 6’8.5 helped him blossom.

True but as between Dunlap and lavin it would be Dunlap that should deserve credit...right?
