Nothing can be done about it now. Team has to show their experience and move on from this quickly because the next game is less than 72 hours away. Need to be 2-2 after the first 4 but honestly 0-4 is in play.

Missed the game. Looks like lack of depth will be a problem in big east play. Does this team have a leader on the court?

im not sure we can recover from this for a while.  I know I will be pissed for a while.

Sure we can. This is college basketball. You’re going to lose some that you shouldn’t, but you’re also going to win some that you shouldn’t, too. Like VCU.

No question that the refs made a terrible mistake. Refs make mistakes. Umpires make mistakes. It’s a thankless job. It’s important to remember that we’ve also been on the receiving end of terrible decisions like this one, too.

I’m still hopeful for the season. Let’s see how St.Jean gathers the troops, regroups and prepares for the next game.

Someone on Reddit pointed out that SH also made a substitution during the review which is illegal

He needs to do a much better job of playing without the basketball. Our whole defensive scheme was focused on Powell who moved and cut and created opportunities for his teammates without having the ball. Ponds is as dangerous as anyone with the ball, now make them guard you without it.
*wipes ketchup from his eyes* - I guess Heinz sight isn’t 20/20.

VCU game was a noncall, not one that was reviewed for 10 mins and refs thinking of a legal reason not to end the game.

We collapsed at the end, but the fact remains that we played well enough to win. Seton Hall hit one shot. They didn’t outplay us.

There should be no question in anyone’s mind that the refs are responsible here.

Never heard of her

She was the b*tch on the sidelines that was healthy enough to shoot pregame warmups and jump around like she was at a House of Pain concert during the game but had an ouchie in her knee.

Sounds fishy.

Marquette game will get ugly real fast if these guys don't wake up. Howard is not playing around.

Trimble matador D to give hall first lead was nice. Also didn’t get back on Powell’s break away dunk a few minutes earlier. Time to give his minutes to Williams.

These guys should have gotten minutes in the OOC schedule. Now is not the time to experiment

Powell ate Williams up too when he got the ball. Williams did a good job denying but was helpless after Powell actually got it.

No I actually think he’s brought Williams among great and at this point is ready to be ahead of Trimble.

We shot 41% from the field. They out rebounded us 48-30. SHU scored 12 points final 5 minutes, we scored 5. Ponds had 7 assists in the first half, zero in the second half. Tough loss on the road, had opportunities to win despite our poor play and the poor officiating.

Next game is at home and we need to win or our 12-0 start would be a distant memory. No excuses.
