Few things

I couldn’t have been more wrong about this matchup. We dominated them. Theo John got abused.

Marillac has been right since last January that Simon is best post defender on team.

Gtown got robbed, they should be hosting a top 20 team this weekend.

Best team in the BE

Clark is a deadeye shooter. Ponds is elite. We should be undefeated but maybe it was a good thing to get that loss out of the way to take the pressure off.

What a great win.

This is a program defining win for Mullin and these kids. Great to see them show everyone how tough they can be.

Wojo got outcoached all night. He should have gone to a zone much sooner. Our guys couldn't wait to matchup with Howard--who must be the worst defender in the conference.

I think Howard is intimidated by Ponds and his his excellence. Howard almost never goes up against someone more dynamic than himself.

John and Morrow are so bad at the line and make so many mistakes it nullifies their inside advantage on us.

Figueroa and Heron are a nightmare for Hauser and Chartony. They are much more athletic and they have skill.

As fans, we would like to see the undefeated streak continue.  In reality, that lose was good for the team.

I believe ponds was trying to show he can be a pure point guard and distribute.  That hurt them again seton hall.  Ponds is a 2 guard in a point guard body.  He has to score for this team to be successful.

They were also gassed at the end of the seton hall game.  Mullin seemed to learn from that and went a little deeper into the bench tonight.

And I think they also learned the importance of finishing in big games.  Got to make those free throws down the stretch.

The seton hall loss was a good loss.

Not a surprise, Wojo sucks.

That throw down by Heron was impressive!  Great win for the program.

Team is playing much better defensively. Clark is a tough matchup on offense. I believe he will be the key to our success.

When you look at the seton hall game we played fantastic while Ponds was the distributor and awful when he was the scorer. Tonight he was just Ponds which is the best guard in the country.

Fantastic game. Loved how Ponds played. My favorite moment from him was the cross court pass to Simon that left a great like Len Elmore in utter disbelief. He is going to be special this year.

His vision and ability to hit the guy in the corner his nothing short of amazing.

Forgive me when I get sick when one of our people says Seton Hall was a good loss for us. It wasn't a loss it was a hideous theft.
After tonight, I will ( in the phrase coined by Coach Joe Lapchick)" take to the grave" two things from this season. The stupid and cowardly decision of the refs decision in the SH game, and, Coach Lou's fist pump with seconds to go in the first half of tonight's game. That's the way I want to remember him forever.

The Lou fist pump was awesome.

Steve Wojciechowski on St. John's: "You're looking at one of the Top 20 teams in the country. They're every bit as good or better as anyone we've played so far." #SJUBB

Make of that what you will. They've played Kansas
