No offense to Trimble who does things I like but if you can't beat out Trimble........

I hear you and maybe it's better off for all parties involved. Onto G'town.

I hear what you are saying, but Trimble is a really good fit for this team with his strength.  Mase doesn't see it, but he really does remind me of how Chudney complemented the starters on the Postell teams--though they obviously have much different games.

G-Will now becomes the spark plug and Trimble becomes the guy who holds serve. I kind of like it.

I don't dislike Trimble and I really like Williams.
Did not like the way Dixon played at all and will just leave at that.

I don't think he was bad. I just don't think he would have been an inpactful player on this level and could have developed into a solid starter, absent Ponds

You may be right. Maybe it was meant to be if we keep winning combined with the recruiting uptick.

How bout that 3 last game, did you think your boy Marcellus was getting some early run?

Transferring mid-season is pretty damn classless.

I agree with Gottlieb. He’s right. Kids need a significant penalty to prevent them from pulling shit like this.

Like I said earlier if he leaves at end of year he would need to get a waiver to play his senior season.

I have no hatred for him despite what that guy on other board whined about.
In fact I absolutely enjoy  the Marcellus experience.

Lol no I know you do. But Trimble nearly broke the backboard before ME got his next chance.

Ironically, if we didn’t get Heron and Figgy last minute, he would have played a big role this year. Also he probably feels he is getting recruited over. Will loose some depth with his departure, but as long as we stay healthy won’t really  impact us. Williams has much higher upside.

Yeah Trimble sometimes gets good exit velo on his misses too.
Never thought Trimble was a good shooter despite the rep coming in.
Appreciate that he plays hard and basically does little things that some weren't.
With that being said hope Williams steals his mins too

When Ponds is sitting, who is gonna take it up? Heron? Trimble? Simon?

Any of those three or LJ and Williams, really don’t have a worry there.

Unfortunately there will undoubtedly be people calling him soft or a coward for leaving but the kid has to do what's best for him. We've definitely benefitted from kids leaving similar situations at other places to come to a better situation here. Can't have it both ways

Why leave mid season? How does that help him? By this time next year, he’ll have spent more time sitting out than playing.

Man up and stick with a commitment you made.

Who knows but kids are doing it everywhere now.  And it can allow them to start a semester early if the timing is right, I believe.

Hempel, Dixon, and Bangura are three players who did not work out here, after transferring up.

However, Lamont Middleton sure as heck worked out, though he had 2 years experience at Hartford.

Lamont Middletown has a terrific old school post up game. Loved that dude. Hoping Ian Streere can bring us some of that next January.

soon as I noticed he was getting no minutes I saw this coming...doesn't seem like a high level player. wish him luck getting minutes elsewhere.

If he knows he's leaving at the end of the year it makes 100% sense for him to leave now as opposed to waiting.

He's used his redshirt year already last year as a sit-out transfer. By leaving now he'll be able to play next December at his new school instead of sitting out the whole season and losing his Junior year of eligibility.

Heron, Simon, Clark, and Keita all left behind commitments they made to our benefit. We can't have it both ways. Why are you against kids doing what's in their best interest?

Mikey Dixon’s game = Larry Wright’s game

Dixon better at finishing with the rock, but similar players. Offensively minded. Good shooters. Good at getting theirs.

Totally and completely lost on defense to point of do they even know who they are suppposed to be covering if anyone at all.

Horrible advice, whoever told him...2 games of little playing time and he pulls the trigger? Sheesh!
