Game 17: DePaul 6P (CBSS, 570 AM)

Ive been holding this back for a few games now, but Heron is straight trash.  He is not a good basketball player. 

Simon and fig looking good but where is clarke?  He needs to help out and score some points.

Id like to see the freshman williams play more.  Mullin doesnt seem to want to give him any run.

The warts are coming out.  Keida has no offensive game. 

And simon takes set shots that look like he time traveled from the 1950s.

Figgy pudding stepping up.  Marvin clarke needs to join him in the second half.

I wonder if Dixon can change his mind and come back.

All things considered, ill take being down 1 at the half.  Simon flashed taking it to the hoop and figgy was knocking them down, but someone else has to pitch in on the offensive end.

Keida is an eraser but brings nothing on the other end of the floor.  Its frustrating.

Very lucky to only be down 1. Keita showing his value on D but has 0 value on offense. Switching 1-5 is generally beneficial but should try to only switch 1-4 when Keita on the court. DePaul got a couple baskets from putting his man in a ball screen and making Keita guard on the perimeter.

Heron is the guy that needs to step up in the 2nd half. LJ is awesome and is going to be our best player the next 2 years.

I wonder if Dixon can change his mind and come back.

Imagine giving up ~15mpg and a pretty important role at a likely tournament team in a major conference just to get 25mpg at Grand Canyon.

Games like this one he could have shined.

Marillac you were dead wrong on him. He's anything but goofy or whatever you called him. He's very effective.

On a side note, nice to see Keita with the 4 blocks tonight so far.
