Really happy for Bryan, he has been capable of this performance the entire time. Without a doubt we're better than this Creighton team 9/10 nights.

We belong in the class of the Big East conversation w Marquette and Nova. Get mentioned w these  two before March 1 and we're a lock for the tourney.

Bring on the nerds, I want the home/home sweep. Need Justin back for Barrett, rest up. WE ARE.

Its games like this that make me ragestroke when we lose games like we lost Sunday. They can be this good. They came out motivated, active on defense, moving the ball, attacking the lane. Yeah, they shot the shit out of the ball and that covers for a lot of sins. But when you play with this kind of energy and intensity, that tends to happen. Thats why its so goddamn frustrating that it takes having their backs up against the wall to produce this kind of effort.

But whatever...they did come up with the effort, and he results were predictably great. Now bring the same energy every damn night for the rest of the season.

I love Bryan Trimble because Twitter hates him for no reason. I love Bryan Trimble because he knows his role on this team and does it well. I love when Bryan Trimble is instrumental in wins.

Our best 5 are Ponds-Trimble-Heron-Figueroa-Clark.

Wally Pipp moment tonight.

You'll be eating those words soon.

I thought we played poorly but did well in the only stat that matters, 42% from 3, so it's a victory.  Will we win at least one remaining game in which we shoot poorly from downtown?

Trimble had a play where he drove and scored inside the arc. Once again battled bigs valiantly he's giving 10 inches to. Don't call me dishonest Abe missed a three by a centimeter.

Walden should have been pulled earlier with the 21 point lead under 4 minutes. Have we forgotten Depaul already?

I couldn't watch the game, but looking at the box score:

Did Simon play 7 minutes and Trimble 33 because of matchups or was Simon hurt?

Good win but nowhere near out of the woods yet.  Only saw a few mins of the 1st half. What's up with Simons minutes?

The Good:
- Trimble
- 3 Point Shooting
- Never letting them go on a run to get back in the game
- Season not dead yet
- Fire Mullin threads and sentiments tabled for at least a few days
- Probably won't hear from Baldi or Tony for at least a couple days

The Bad:
- Keita
- Having to follow this up by going to Cameron

Sorry to disappoint you Sally

Love how everyone praises Trimble right now, deservedly so but only person has given Mullin credit because that goes against their narrative that he is a terrible coach.

Trimble has been competing hard the entire season. Not a fan of him shooting from so far out.
St. John’s matches up well with Creighton. We have better players then they do. The constant switching works for the most part.
Let see if he has a game plan for duke before we give him to much credit. Hope he watched some film of Georgia tech. If he slows down the game I think we have a good chance. Make them shoot from outside.

Great job by coach Mullin not picking up a technical foul for once. Maybe he has a sore throat.

I know we aren’t supposed to complain about refs after a loss but how bout after a win? Good god that game was reffed horribly.
*wipes ketchup from his eyes* - I guess Heinz sight isn’t 20/20.

Glad we got the win, but we all figured this was the best chance for a win on this trip. Duke will be very very tough Saturday- I will be happy if we keep it close and minimize the mistakes. Marquette will also be tough, but we really do need that game but I do not see us beating them. We are going to have more pressure last stretch of season.

You're upset no one has given Mullin credit for playing the next guy on the bench when one of the starters was out with a migraine?

If it makes you feel any better, I've been a pretty harsh critic of Mullin's coaching abilities and I was kissing his ass last night for benching Simon last night, before I found out he hadnt benched him and Trimble was playing out of necessity.

I enjoyed the announcer on the LJ charge non call early saying to the effect of—yeah we have to eliminate flops like that from the game, people are flopping on every play...yada yada yada...looks like Figueroa got away with one there.

Dude was double talking all night.
