Ponds played himself out of the draft today. Honestly he may have done that before today, but it would take a miracle to turn it around by March after today.

He's been physically owned by Khyri last year and McKnight and Jones this year. They are just too quick for him. His only good showing against a pro was against Brunson and Brunson got whatever he wanted on offense.

The size and short arms can be overcome but the lack of athletic ability and question marks about defense, effort, and maturity makes it very tough.

That badly missed dunk will be burned in the minds of GMs and scouts--and that is very unfair.

One positive was the guys got to see Zion play up close. That dude has an amazing motor, stole rebounds off missed free throws twice and was all over the place. That’s what it takes to be the best, hopefully our guys adapt.

Matt brought in all of the transfers. St Jean and Richmond has brought in no one and Mullin hasn’t been able to close on our HS targets.

He has an issue with Matt, but to put this blame on the only guy who is recruiting is total BS. It’s time for the “Face” of the program to bring in a recruit or 2. Who would be not the team if Matt wasn’t here.

I have to agree.  Ponds isnt close to being an nba player.

Being 6'10"  250 pounds and supernaturally athletic helps as well.

Trimble plays hard.

I like Trimble but his lazy pass late in the first half that led to a dook dunk turned the game around.

20 bad minutes against duke and guys are ready to throw Ponds to China. The lack of objectiveness is



crazy. When Dixon left that left us with one guard, you can blame the staff for that all you like. If it’s not him handling the ball against that D we are turning it over so I’d rather go down swinging with our best guard in 30 years bringing the call up, of course he could have been better and perhaps cut some of the antics out but give me a break with this bs that he is hurting his stock by coming back and that he is all about himself.

Regardless of our recent troubles our starting 5 is better talent wise than we have had in a long time. If we had another capable freaking recruiter I think it's fair to say we'd be deeper or at least have better quality depth and options to focus on and spend more quality time recruiting. 1 recruiter isnt good enough

So I was very wrong about this being a close game and yet I still didn't have the worst opinion in this thread.

Vitale could be the most annoying announcer ever or at least since Cosell. Walton at least has the appealing burnout, deadhead, Spicolli thing going for him.
