I think 22 wins should get us in with or without a BET win.  21 if we beat Nova adding another quad 1 win.

Agreed.  At this point it seems 9-9 with a BET win or 10-8 without one should be enough (barring a Marquette collapse to end the season).

Going 5-3 to finish 10-8 in conference and 22-9 overall is reasonable.

HOME: Providence, Xavier, Butler, Seton Hall, Villanova
ROAD: Providence, Xavier, DePaul

Teams that Dance earn their way in.

21 makes it a lock. 20 should get us in.

I think going 1-4 (20-11) will put us on the wrong side of the bubble. 2-3 finish I believe is what we need.

My post is a few weeks old, but the same is true. 20 and in. I would be disappointed if we only won 20.

Are wins against Seton Hall and DePaul enough to get us in despite the horrid Providence loss or because it was such a blow-out we need more?

I agree with you that the magic number is 2. 2 wins and we are in.

1 win and maybe but finishing season 1-5 against a very mediocre schedule would not be good.  If the one win comes this weekend against seton hall adding another quad 1 win maybe I change my mind.

For a home game, opponent has to be top 30 for quad 1 win. So we are out of opportunities for quad 1 wins but with gtown winning against nova we will probably get that one back, making for 6. A really solid number for any team let alone those on the bubble.
*wipes ketchup from his eyes* - I guess Heinz sight isn’t 20/20.

We dropped to an 11 seed with that quad 3 loss.  I think one more win is necessary.  Also we’d all like to avoid Dayton if we can I’d think.

Crazy that’s a quad 3 loss. If they beat butler maybe there is a chance X moves into top 75 and gives us another opportunity for a quad 1 win.

11 seed would be perfect to avoid playing  a 1 and 2 seed, but we also risk being on the wrong side.

We lose out and we end up on the wrong side of the bubble. We win 1 more and we're in. We win 1 more reg season and 1 BET and we get a 10/11 seed in the dance.

Magic number to me is 500 in conference, get to that point and it won’t matter what happens in big east tourney. Across the 100+ brackets out there, we are between 34-36 on bracket line.  One win across any next 3 we are dancing

1 more win will probably do it, but I would feel more comfortable w 2 wins.

Agree with this. Really need to beat DePaul tomorrow.

Would do a lot for the sanity of the board.

Marillac’s Magic # is 3...as in 3x banned from RM.com.

Received official warning this morning for joking that I was worried Paultzman was grooming Jack by constantly complimenting his posts.

What a bunch of stuck up twats.

I don't speak for Dave but you're always welcome here.

P.S. What's a RM.com?
