That was a fun last 12 or so minutes. Team looked absolutely miserable in the beginning of the game, nothing falling. Hung tough and a good team win, wasn’t just former Lavin recruit Shamorie Ponds bailing everyone else out.

FWIW the announcers and post game seemed to love the bench contributions of essentially holding serve and letting the starters do their work.

Wow. Still can’t believe we won. First half was brutal. Shamorie was terrible. Season defining win!

Twenty nine to ten.

Wow.

What an incredible comeback and game. Garden def has not felt like that since 2011.

Hard fought win. Different attitude 2nd half - scrapped and got after it. Felt good walking out of MSG for once. Team win.

What a thrilling W. Garden was electric. Figgy and Heron were terrific in the second half.

Ponds had a really tough game. Hope he’s not hurt.

From the ridiculous to the sublime.  Hard to believe we beat Nova with Ponds having a poor game.  He continues to look like he will be back if he is going to class, too inconsistent to be drafted but there is always overseas with Lovett who, by the way, scored 34 for a Serbia team recently.  This team could go a long way if they avoid stupid mistakes, Clarke's today was awful and would have cost them the game if Villanova had not folded.  Great win.  WIth any luck should go 3-2 the rest of the way at the worst.  All games are winnable easily if they show up.  Predicting 4-1.

What a rollercoaster of emotions. Huge win. Forgettable first half but the team didn't quit.

It's critical that LJ and Heron can continue to elevate their games because if they're that good, along with Ponds being Ponds, this team can make some noise.

Heron has looked completely different since the game he was out.

Good defense via strong consistent effort won that game.  Like it has in all of the close wins this year.  We live and die by when we show up with intense, well played defense

Just got home from the game. The Garden was rocking and the Nova Sucks chant was loud at times. It was a tale of two halves.

It was such a weird, disjointed game with little flow but the guys showed a lot of fight. Ponds needs to stop doing the iso crap and just play within the flow of the game. He's too good to play that street yard junk. When his O isn't there he should just keep moving the ball and setting guys up.

Huge win overall.

Shamorie was off, but he didn't force his game, the way Booth and Paschall did. I thought he played a heady game in last 10 minutes, feeding the hot hands.

Marquette and Villanova have 4 league losses between them. 3 of them thanks to SJU. Let's get to Friday of the BET and anything can happen

Trimble has to be the best no-stat player of all-time. He pinned Nova big men to his back several times to let other gets huge boards. His D is tough. He doesn’t make mistakes often.
Keita okayed well in defense too.

Just back from a rockin MSG and it was both sickening (first 19:58) and great thereafter.  All I could think of in the first half was 1982 when we were down to Hoyas 42-9 at end of fist half. and then Simon made "The Shot" that picked me up (and obviously did great things to the team psyche.  Mullin kept cool and did not get a T while Jay lost it and maybe contribute to the collapse.  Great 2nd half for Heron and Figgy.  Showed the "Resilience" tonight.    NOVA IS A LOX!!!

Great game. Better maybe if Simon was the one guard and Ponds was the 2.  The team might reach the Big East finals.  They have the ability and the heart.

UNFREAKINGBELIVABLE ATMOSPHERE.

Best game at MSG i've seen in forever.

Holy Moly. What a second half, to come back from 19, with Ponds taking the night off, what an effort. Unreal. Got great defensive effort in the 2nd half, they shot 20%, that 20-5 run was something. Put LJ in the hall of fame!!
