Meanwhile SEC refs doing everything they can to give bubble team much needed bubble Florida the win. Florida with a 6 point possession thanks to an awful call followed by a tech

But lets be honest though, whose fault is it for having short bench? Cupcakes early on were to get the young guys experience, I do not think they did that enough. You cannot start giving them minutes later on and expect them to just be very productive unless they were a blue chip. If played earlier on we would have some type of depth now so we do not play burnt out at end of season. You recruited them, play them. We cannot keep on this path.

And what pisses me off is a team like G'Town plays 3 Freshmen, any one of which could be FOY. Plus they have a few underclassmen and a couple of big recruits.  The BE will once again be very competitive next year and I can see us falling in the abyss again

This is me on this board Jan.7, 2019:

"I fully expect us to miss the tournament by the cruelest, narrowest of margins with the clock gate game being the reason why"

Me Feb. 18, 2019:
"I still expect us to miss the dance by the narrowest, cruelest of margins with the "clock gate" game being the deciding factor against."

Then I read articles by two different NY Post writers saying that the Depaul win has locked us into the tournament and I started celebrating.

Are you gonna tell me that I know more about St. John's basketball than professional beat writers?  I don't believe it.

St. John's was projected as a No. 11 seed going into the Marquette game, and Bubble Watch supposes, if a few more bubble teams had won a few more games this week, there could be a discussion on whether this team is now in real trouble. Chris Mullin's men were blown out 86-54 by Marquette, and the NET ranking attached to the Red Storm even going into a lopsided loss already was in the mid-60s. Now factor in that, in the eyes of the rating system, the Johnnies actually were playing a "home" game at Madison Square Garden when they were hammered by 32 points. Meaning this NET ranking could get ugly. Still, there also are two things going in this team's favor. First, even after the debacle against the Golden Eagles in the Big East tournament, St. John's is still 3-2 against Marquette and Villanova for the season. Second, well, the committee does have to get to 68 somehow. (Updated: March 14)

Xavier’s loss didn’t seal anything. Still plenty of things to worry about for us.

One less to worry about but felt if they got in we were definitely out. BE isn’t getting 5 bids.

It was definitely good for us but that result still far from locks up our bid

I’d take it but it’s a terrible matchup. Fernando would eat our bigs alive.
