How do we know if he fits the system or not at the college level? He wants to play defense but he's 5 foot 8. This isn't high school anymore where you  can get away with that. So Bryan Trimble wants to play defense does the mean he fits the system as well? I really hope Mcgriff does fit the system but its impossible to tell by watching a kids youtube highlights against high school competition.

Malik Boothe was 5’9 and he was arguably the best on-ball defender we had this century.

His wikipedia page is one of the worst written articles I've ever read but I love that it says "Esposito is recognized as being one of the best recruiters in college basketball."  Anyone have any insight into Joe's track record/ credentials?

If Esposito is to be hired it needs to be done immediately. At that point we’ll know how good of a recruiter he is because half of his former team is in the transfer portal.

That’s the wrong way to think about this. Becoming apparent that CMA is looking at not only who fits his system but who will live up to his standards.  So just bc a bunch of Esposito’s guys are ready to transfer doesn’t mean that CMA will be salivating to get them here...

Was special assistant to the head coach at UNLV, maybe he’ll come home for less than one of the 3 AC spots. don’t pretend to know anything about him but just saying.

Shakur is one of the best available transfers in the country. I'm sure he'd love to come back home to play in front of family and friends (from Paterson). However he probably has a ton of major suitors I would imagine.

I wanted him since the Briscoe days.

Didn't he go down with a knee injury this year?  could scare off some suitors.

He did but sounds like he already resumed basketball activities and is on track to make a full recovery before next season. Hopefully it thins his market but doubtful since he's rated highly on some transfer lists for next season.

Yeah, CMA is Jesus Christ. How foolish of me.

He would be a killer addition. We haven’t had a PF like him since Ty Grant. He’s from Newark too.

Juiston + Khadim Sy and a decent grad transfer PG would be a Sweet Sixteen caliber team.

The Van Macon hiring was just made official.  If twitter is any gauge, I assume Esposito will be next.  He's following coach Anderson, TJ Cleveland, SJU, several SJU fan pages (including the dot-comers), even paultzman.

Doesn't prove a thing, even Foad follows Paultzman. LOL

Thanks for the info WPC77.  What do we think of Esposito?  Seems to me like he's done a good job of recruiting at multiple different places.
