If we do not have Heron, LJ and Steere for most of the minutes we are bound to have problems. The talent drop off is substantial after the returners/newly activated transfers. Greg Williams also should be getting more burn then any of the scabs.

I don't disagree with you although perhaps moving forward we can refrain from calling our fine student athletes scabs. My point though is that CTC rarely plays anyone more than 30 minutes a game; even Bobby Portis never played 30 minutes a game. So (a) there will likely be enough minutes for everyone, and especially for several of those players you've labelled scabs, who otherwise would not see minutes on a D1 team as freshmen and (b) if history is any indication our more skilled players and especially Heron and LJF will play significantly fewer minutes than they might under some other coach.

May have already been posted but does he have to sit 1 and eligible for 2 more years? Or can he play from the get go?

He will get a waiver to play. I like the pickup. 2016 Marillac liked this kid a lot and he knew more than this version.

I am hoping some of these "scab" players will be transferring once we get good recruits after a solid season. People are bound to be out, not enough minutes to go around. Depth purposes only considering Anderson had so little time.
I assume someone from this class won’t make it. But I don’t anticipate what happened last time.

You're too young to be deteriorating.

Per Zach, Dunn was denied the waiver.

This is a major major loss for this season. Unbelievable

Sources told me Cleveland State AD not supporting Rasheem Dunn playing right away and NCAA decision based on fact he could've stayed at Cleveland State, despite his coach getting fired and his teammates transferring. Mind-boggling. #sjubb https://twitter.com/NYPost_Brazille/status/1188469011366985731?s=17

A new coach can’t fix a culture of incompetence.

You really gotta admire how consistent the NCAA is!

Johnnies almost always get screwed with these transfer/waiver situations. Not surprising.

Yeah, why?
He’s the reason Rasheem didn’t get his waiver, he was trying his hardest to make it not happen

The ceiling of this team has just been considerably lowered and it wasn't all that high to begin with. Rutherford is going to have to play major minutes now and I don't think he's that type of player at this level. Losing the 3rd scoring option and now have to replace 25 MPG at the PG position with McGriff already out. What a joke

I think there are more productive ways to handle this. The NCAA is responsible. That’s who needs to hear and it and feel it.

St.John’s has hired an attorney to sue the NCAA in the past. Let’s see if the action they take this time takes 5 months, or if they start now. It be telling.

Hopefully Cragg has already reached out to Jeff Capel to find out how to rectify this miscarriage of justice.

It says that Dunn will lose a year of eligibility also leaving him with only one year left, sit out two years and lose a year of eligibility while Javonte Smart was caught being bribed and taking money and gets to play this year. Absolutely insane

What's the reason behind him losing a year of eligibility? Don't you actually have to play to lose a year of eligibility?

You get 5 years to play 4. This is his 4th year.

He used his redshirt year when he sat out last season
