And there goes the season.  Now we have to move Dunn out of position or rely on a NEC talent like Rutherford.  Awesome.

Oh ye of little faith. I guarantee Coach Iron Mike has foreseen this minor setback and has a back up plan in place.

If I’m not mistaken, in HS Dunn played pg, while Ponds played Sg.

Can't predict injuries.

Staff did get 2 PGs this offseason in McGriff and Rutherford unfortunately the curse of point guards in Queens is real

Dunn did the bulk of the ball handling at the open practice.  Champagnie also seemed to have a good handle, he might be able to play a little point forward every now and then (and remember, we have Paul Pressey on staff, who was the first guy to really do that).  Tough to take much out of that, though.

Rutherford is too small to run the halfcourt offense, but he can spark our fastbreak, by getting steals.  There are options.  None of them are great, but as long as Heron and LJ are around, the sky is not falling, not until we start losing games, anyway.

I think you're right it's going to be a by committee approach. I think Mustapha will handle a good amount and I think to a degree it's going to depend on matchup/pressure/situation.

If we need to score we are best suited to have LJ and Mustapha off the ball but is there someone capable extended minutes to handle the duties. If that's Dunn then awesome. I think a lot of team success will depend on Dunn's availability + ability.

Skill and ability to be determined but Rutherford has great size for a PG.

I got him and McGriff confused, for a moment.

He's a graduate transfer who in his career has shot 35 percent from the floor and 25 percent from three and has a 3/2 A2T ratio in various shit conferences, in which shit conferences the teams he's played for have a three-year record of 32-61. Unless you're expecting a Chris Paul on the road to Damascus moment his skill and ability are pretty evident. On the bright side he's 6'3", so there's that.

Are you talking length or girth?

Yea he’s played 100 games in D1 and averaged 7, 4, 3. Plus pedagogy and experience and all those buzz words you like.

Exactly. In the three years in shit conferences against shit competition he's averaged seven points and four rebounds and three assists but on the bright side his "skill and ability [are] to be determined" because "all those buzzwords you like" because he's vaguely tall. Good grief you're dumb and I say that without meaning to offend dumb people.

It’s only tip off. Still a little time for you to get your fastball back.

You’re mistaken for making any allusions to a comparison of Ponds and some guy named Dunn that I’ve never heard of.

He played with Ponds man, quit acting like a dummy. Dunn played the PG and Ponds played SG
