Way to watch / listen to Temple scrimmage?
« on: October 26, 2019, 09:40:22 AM »
Any way we can watch or listen?  Anyone know what time?  When to expect results?

With Dunn waiver up in air...will he play?

No way to watch and no he won’t play.

Why won’t he play? They could let me play if they wanted. If Dunn is expected to get his waiver he should play today.

I’m not sure if you’re serious or not

Surprising and encouraging. Not the type of game we would've previously won.

Previously SJ would not have won a preseason scrimmage against Temple? St John's has beaten Temple 2/3s of the time since dunking became legal. And that includes March 15th, 1984:

"For St. John's, it will have to be later. Mullin, who is a 91.1 percent free-throw shooter, missed a one-and- one situation with eight seconds left and Temple capitalized as Terence Sansbury sank a 25-foot jump shot at the buzzer for a 65-63 victory in the first round of the National Collegiate Athletic Association East Regional."

Certainly a good sign.

Which is good? Scoring 100 or giving up 90?

Temple with a Ken Pom of 94 and us 95 which means we should probably be in the 80’s which isn’t bad considering 2 of our top 6 players can’t play and another is barely getting minutes because of back issues. SJUBB def is underrated this year. Also Roberts with a double double.

According to redmen.com, Earlington had 13; Roberts 11; Rutherford 11; Champaigne 9

Zack also tweeted that Roberts had a double double and Williams played.

Just a scrimmage but still good to get a win with many contributors. Temple isn’t Swiss cheese.

Is there a backstory why you say Mullins all the time instead of Mullin ? A long time ago a few times I figured it was just the phone with spellcheck or something because I'm awful typing from my phone but it's been years and you still write it so maybe I missed why you write it that way so was just curious

In the scrimmage today At Johns started Heron, Figueroa, Rutherford, Champagnie and Roberts. Heron had 23, Figueroa 20, 9 and 8 #sjubb

Figgy is gonna have an awesome year.

A few other notes from the scrimmage against Temple. St. John's shot 12-of-25 from 3 and also won battle on glass. Champagnie had 9 and 5. Not bad for a freshman. Roberts had 3 blocks, along with 11 points and 12 rebounds. #sjubb
