I believe you. He’s before my time. I’m was going off of the roster on sports reference.

I’d imagine he couldn’t have been very good if he was behind Turner.

He wasn’t behind Turner.

Brian Mahoney and Norm Roberts were worse than Mullin. Mahoney is probably the worst coach in BE history if you consider the talent he recruited to play for him.

Felipe Lopez, Zendon Hamilton, Rowan Barrett, and James Scott. Mahoney couldn't figure out how to get Scott on the court...or Barrett for that matter.

When Fraschilla took over, he called a team meeting. I believe there were eight guys coming back...six showed up on time...one guy showed up a half hour late with a Happy Meal and the eighth guy never showed. Fran was the first SJU coach to bring weight training to the program. For some reason, St Johns believed that a coach with a losing record at a lower program, Mahoney at Manhattan, Norm at Queens College, even Slice at Manhattan, would evolve into a winning coach at the Big East level. Insanity; doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result.

Agree about Barrett, he could have been something, but Scott was 2nd in FG attempts his two years.
