St Johns vs Columbia - 11/20
« on: November 19, 2019, 03:18:26 PM »
This is pretty much a tuneup game for the rematch against hurley and the sundevils on saturday.

I would like to see 2 changes in the starting lineup.

1- Dunn as the starting pg.  He showed last game he is by far the best pg on this team.  There is no need to wait to make this move.

2- Duke of Earlington as the starting 4.  The duke is the emotional leader of this team.  Brings passion and excitement that reasonates with his teammates and the crowd.  We need this kind of energy from the tip.

Also, Champaignie is a better pure scorer then duke.  We need points from the second unit and that gives champaignie more opportunities to score rather then being 3rd behind heron and lj if he stays a starter.

Guessing we'll be a little less than two touchdown favorites

Dunn is going to play plenty. Don’t care if he starts or is the 6th man. Rutherford is very good backup. Happy we have him.
Champagne or Ellington- I would start whoever has the best defensive matchup. I think steer starts when able .

In the last two games Rutherford has really struggled out of the gate.

I was encouraged after Mercer. Now I’m concerned. He’s been a mess. I think Dunn has to start and do the best he can to run the offense.

He’s awful. I kind of knew what we were getting with Dunn and was hoping he’d be pushed by Williams and Rutherford but he looks like he’s all world compared to them.

What were your expectations? He is a good athlete. He plays defense. And he can run a team. He is going to play 10 minutes a game.

I thought you said you expected a lot from a Williams.

Rutherford's a solid backup PG. More than adequate to provide some bench depth.

He’s not a good athlete. He’s a very subpar athlete by high major standards and he might as well have a hook at the end of his right arm instead of a hand. He goes to YMCA over 35 league lengths to not use it by going behind the back and using hesitations. He also doesn’t finish with it when he should.

Easy over afte the loss. Vegas doesn’t know this team yet.

By over I mean the spread. We will win by 20+.

As a player. I had no idea what he’d give as a PG this early. I thought he’d be ready for this role by his junior year.

Williams should not see any minutes in Big East play. Redshirt him now

Why? He was decent as a freshman last year. Let him play through and figure it out.

Hope you aren’t giving up your mulling crusade. I need something to do tomorrow.
Are you mad we won?
