Lets talk about how we got completely out rebounded today...

Are you expecting Roberts to grab 8 boards a game in conference play? Your not paying attention.

Now that you click on his Twitter handle, pls at least admit that you were wrong in stating that he's likely Anderson's son or nephew

I would never click on anyone’s twitter profile here and I call him that in jest and will continue to do so as long as he only posts about how amazing Anderson is.

Who is the lead x and o's assistant on this staff? Is it TJ?

What's up with Ian Steere?

Does every discussion here have to lead to Tony having Mullin's nuts on his chin?

Guys can we please keep discussion on the game. Not each other.

Lets talk about how we got completely out rebounded today...

Being outrebounded is an overrated statistic. We missed 15 more field goals than Xavier (Due to our lack of shooting and their # of turnovers) and they outrebounded us by 9. We had more offensive rebounds than they had.

was going to point out the same. rebounding was not the problem. 15 more field goals is a big margin.

There isn’t a offense known to man that can cure lack of dribble and shooting ability. The team plays with great effort and it will keep us in games and even win some because of that alone but this is a rebuilding year. We literally have the worse roster in the BE don’t let anyone tell you otherwise.

CLEVELAND is in coaches ear more then anyone. Haven’t noticed anyone else talking at timeouts.
I agree for the most part about the lack of talent. But we do have 2 elite players. We need to do something to get them going.

I’d be happy to once the savior talk and shots at Mullin die down.

Then talk about basketball, not personal insults, which are demeaning and useless, proving your point. Hopefully you are better than this.

Heron's regressed. He's not making any All BE teams unless he has a miraculous turnaround. LJ is still a good contributor. Neither of them are true leaders. Both better as complementary pieces.

Heron just can’t bring it against good teams but us dynamite against mediocre teams, it’s got to be a mindset

Not disagreeing. Still hoping we can get more out of those 2.

But maybe the expectations are to high.
What do you mean? We just traded the worst coach in the history of the universe for the best. I for one am ready to watch us soar.

seems like he was an amazing player and was trending up as a coach each year, so why did he step down?
He was driven out by the unrealistic expectations of the worst fan base in creation and management teams that likes to remove coaches the second they qualify for the Ncaa.

We're 5 for 38 from three in BE play.  That's all coaching right there. Mullin sure could teach shooting.

But we do have 2 elite players. We need to do something to get them going.

Please assess the players talent for yourself. They are not elite players. What elite player can’t create a shot for themselves? They are good complementary pieces, but don’t have the skills to be successful if they’re the defenses primary target.

Heron played at Auburn and the year after he left they went to the final four. Last year they played with Ponds, and defenses had to respect Clark on the perimeter. The roster has to get better. You can’t win consistently in this league on effort and toughness alone. This is a rebuilding year, I love what I’m seeing so far. The future is bright.

We moved on from one of the worse coaches in history to a very good coach, no one said the best. How do we know this to be true? In four years Mullin had a winning record once, a BE record of 20-52. In 17 seasons Anderson never had a losing record, and he’s not going to have one this year because he can coach. Why does that bother you so much? It’s not Anderson’s fault Mullin was awful.

Elite may have been the wrong word. But they are very good players. As much as I like Anderson as a coach things can be done to get our 2 best offensive players better shots.

Can you tell me what can be done to get them better shots? There were a couple times when they attempted to get Heron involved early and ran him off of some down screens which resulted in wide open looks. Heron missed the shots. At the end of the day the players need to make plays.

Most shots are going to be contested, players need to make plays.
