Despite SJ blowing a 17-point second half lead on national television to drop to 2-8 I give the coaching a solid 7.
That’s the second time you did that. Not exactly shocking news.

I’ve never seen such poor execution down the stretch at this level.

Whatever the players do or don’t do falls completely on them. Anderson has no plan. No clue. He does nothing to free up any of his players or help in any way.

His “plan” with 3 seconds on the shot clock is to inbounds it to a stationary LJ and let him just figure it out? And that was one we actually made.

Holy sh*t.

Yeah because Anderson is telling LJ to throw up off balance wild shots from 20 feet down the stretch. Luckily one of them went in. GTFO here with that crap.

Players got the lead and lost it. I would have liked to see Rutherford play more. Anderson isn’t perfect...but he’s better than Mullin.

You are such a tool!!!!! Lololol

Wipe the sh*t off your face and just admit you were wrong. Is that really so hard for you to do?

He’s not telling him anything, dummy. That’s the problem. How badly do you struggle with reading comprehension to get that out of what I wrote?!

We were down one.

We were up one when we held the ball. We missed then GT got the ball back with 20 sec left.

Even Tony D is leaving the squad. Poison too.

So we’re down to Johnny23 and SJUFAn (probably the same guy and formerly Old Red..Dave can you confirm this?).

I give the BannerMountain kid a break since he’s related to Anderson.

No, my post was after Gtown had already taken the lead.

Anderson isn’t perfect

He's eight games below perfect.

Quote
he’s better than Mullin.

And there it is.

They didn’t run a play you dope. Everyone can see that. I’m giving Anderson the benefit of the doubt that he didn’t design a running laser shot off the backboard off an inbound to a stationary player. Because that would actually be even worse.

What scenario is okay for you there?

Up 17 on a crucial home stand, and blow to have an ending as that. SJU falls to 0-2 on the home stand...

That falls on coaching first.

The problem I have is it’s never about winning basketball games! The Board got called out by Repole, the only hire that should’ve been accepted after this was Pitino. Again, they have no plan. If Anderson pressed all game every game and we lost I could deal. He is Norm 2.0 that is it. Can’t wait to hire another former player or TV guy in 2 yrs. 🤦‍♂️

They did run a play. It was to get LJ the ball. Whether he made or missed it, the play was successful because it achieved its goal. Could a better play have been designed? Sure. But that particular play didn’t cost us the game.

We were up 1 with 45-50 seconds. Anderson had Dunn hold the ball until the end of the shotclock. How does that make any sense to anyone? Gtown was going to get the ball back with plenty of time to run a good play and even rebound a miss or two regardless of what we did.

Dunn shoots 38%. He averages over two turnovers a game. So your looking at almost a 70% chance of failure under good circumstances calling by his #. He doesn’t pass the ball in those situations unless he’s stuck and then it’s too late.

I’d imagine that running the clock down to nothing and forcing him to make a play would only increase the chance of failure.

But it was the talent, right? Up 17 in the second half against a team with 6 scholarship players and we lost because of talent?

And now you are blocked.

Dave, can we get Old Red off this forum? He offers absolutely nothing. I’m one of the last people to ask for censorship, but this is just ridiculous.

So if you run a play and the play results in a missed shot the play is successful.

You're out of your mind.

Decent chance this team is going to have to win 2 games in the BET to keep Anderson's streak alive. And if that's the case then RIP

I got sucked back in when we beat Arizona and WV. Anderson is going bring physical athletic guys who can’t play, the next few yrs. We’ll probably make NIT or 2 and he will be gone. Thank You Board of Directors!
