On a serious note, sucks for the seniors across the country and teams like Rutgers and Hofstra.

Sucks this is how Nick Rutherford's career ends. Dude has been playing like a senior that realized his career was coming to an end and was leaving it all out on the floor the past month.

This is crazy.
As a St. John’s fan, this stinks because they were winning and seemed to have the legs to finish it off too. Terrible luck this season continues.

I would say play as long as all participants are asymptomatic. High risk, elderly and immuno-compromised, individuals should take the highest precautions to exposure. Also, agree with Foad.

Started the damn tournament, might as well finish it with no fans. I guess since the other conf cancelled the BE had to also.

Season over.

Can't have a tourney now either

The problem is guys that age could have the CV for days or weeks and remain asymptomatic or only have very mild symptoms. Gobert said he felt perfectly fine to play last night.

Nobody holds a gun to anyone's head to show up so doubt lawsuit would work.

Most people do most things without a gun held to their head. The issue is whether an compensable injury occurs due to provable negligence. If you voluntarily go to a restaurant and get food poisoning from some rotten clams and die your widow can sue the restaurant.

Anderson and the team should have come out of the locker room at halftime after the cancellation was announced and cut the nets down

That's right - "on the right track to mediocrity".

I have long since discarded the notion that "greatness" or even "goodness" could even possibly be in the cards for us.

I would be so pleased with mediocrity as a fan of this team, as opposed to our typical - which is abject stink.

Has anymore clear evidence of this ever been presented as what transpired just a few short hours ago? With a chance (granted we probably would have stolen defeat from the clutches of victory on an inadvertent whistle in the waning moments ostensibly to correct a clock issue or some other equally absurd disaster) to have our best showing in the BE tournament in 20 years?

Yes, cursed?; snakebite?; blackcloud?
All of the above.

It was a season of ups and downs, several narrow defeats (3 pts or less) however it was great to see the team finish strong down the stretch. Anderson kept his impressive streak of no losing seasons intact (18) and the Johnnies, albeit in one half of action, went out on top.

Wow. I love a good conspiracy theory and that is grand.

Remember the ferocious daily Hong Kong riots? Nobody does. China plays a long game. Well done by them.

Lyme Disease is also highly suspicious.

We finish up on a 2.5 game win streak. Has any other team done that? We are? I feel good about the way the kids played this year.

Long live the Johnnies!

We should petition the NCAA for one more year for Rutherford.

I feel bad for Dayton.
