Strongly disagree on Dunn. I think he absolutely showed he is a qualify player at the Big East level. He also fits well in Anderson's system. Solid defender, disruptive, can help on the boards, good in the open floor and can penetrate and create in the half court. He isn't a true PG for this level, but hopefully he doesn't need to be next year. He isn't a good 3-point shooter but let's hope he improves in that area in the offseason so teams can't play off him as much as they were doing, especially late. But even if he doesn't improve his outside shooting he is still a valuable player to have going into next season and will be part of the core rotation. How much he's relied upon will depend on what else we bring in before next year and how others play/improve. In a perfect world he is probably one of the first guys off the bench who brings tons of energy, defensive effort, instant offense and playmaking/ball-handling capabilities.
His defense got much worse as the season wore on, and he was out of control way too often. The energy was rarely combined with poise. He has to improve his shot.
I said after the first couple of weeks, he’s Colin Charles reincarnated. He doesn’t have a position. I think his minutes go down next season by quite a bit.
But really, I like his hustle, his energy, and I hope that he can improve on enough to prove me wrong.
