I’m not sold on his athletic ability but his skill level is better than anything we have returning. He’s got that old school back down/spin game down and it looks like he can kick it out very well. Coordinated kid.

His frame and game reminds me of a poor man's D'Angelo. Looks like he has the same intensity too, sign him up.

Harrison is a good comp. He might be a little bigger/longer and a tad less of a combo.

He played well against Virginia in the tournament.

I’d like to get in with high school.

Maybe adding another Dominican after adding a guy born in PR entices LJ to stay.

I thought we only had one scholarship to work with, and it was LJ's if he wanted it?  I thought we were down to LJ or someone else, not LJ AND....

How many open scholarship do we have?

Never seen him play but he shot 34% from the field last year and 25% from 3 in the Big South conference?

Shot a combined 12-51 (5-22 from 3) from the field vs UNC/Wichita St/South Carolina/VT in his only 4 big OOC games.

I think we all use the high major games as a way to gage their talent.

But if Gardner Webb lost by 30 to Duke, and one kid drops 24, is he a player, or is it just that Duke doesn’t care to stop to him because they don’t need to?

Alpha Bangura scored 18 points a game for Monmouth. Mikey Dixon scored plenty at his cupcake school. Why is this guy any different? He went to wings in the Bronx, how come no one was after him 3 years ago?

And Amar Alebegovic once scored 18 pts against eventual national champ Villanova way back when. Don't let one game sway your opinion one way or the other.

If the kid can play and contribute that's all that matters.

His stats as a freshman on a tournament team were much, much better. The leading scorer graduated and his soph team was pretty inexperienced with him as a bigger focus. He has some good games adainsf big teams including 19 on 7/10 shooting in the tournament against eventual champ and defensive powerhouse Virginia. Scored between 9 and 16 against VCU, Va Tech, Ga Tech, and Wake Forest as a frosh (all on the road) with wins @ Ga Tech and WF.

He doesn’t look like a Batman and I seriously doubt he’s being recruited as such.  He looks like a Robin type that can get you some points at this level as the second or third option after his redshirt.

Anderson needs some guys that can create offense on their own. It looks like he can. He complements Wusu and Williams well.

If LJ stays I don’t know whose ‘ship he takes but these things always seem to work themselves out.

Wow a stable, competent coherent Marillac. Must be back on meds.  ;) :)

I liked his game a lot as a soph and junior in high school. I was surprised he didn’t go to a higher level.

He’s definitely better than Rutherford and played over him as a soph when they were both at Monmouth.

I’d definitely rather go after Jose Perez.

Mass exodus from the MAAC with Rick Now in the league

Isn’t there a huge exodus every year in the MAAC recently with kids establishing themselves a bit and then moving into better leagues?

True. But usually not from teams at the top, which were Siena, StPeters and Monmouth

I guess this settles even in the mind of the slowest and most ardent Mullin haters the already settled argument of who's the superior coach among the two largest of Big East giants.
