The sky is falling...Not! Hardly the end of the world or season crippling. He didn't really fit the Anderson team concept. Good luck to him. Time to move on to bigger and better!

This is one of our "best" shooters that had a 37.9% fg percentage last year as our #1 option.  There is a real argument to be made that if players step up (a big IF) we could be better. 

Still rather had him, but it is what it is.

He’s a great fit and we can promise him a bigger scoring role. He would look pretty good in a 3/4/5 with Champ and Toro/Earlington/Moore.

Fans are always going to compare a current coach to recent predecessors.  Sometimes that means feeling compelled to praise one in comparison to the other, or by outright knocking the other.  That leads to opinions being stated that are extreme both ways.  When someone praises Anderson in comparison to an icon like Mullin, you are going to get a contingent that feels compelled to defend the latter compared to the former because of everything Mullin means to the program.  That, too, usually leads to extreme opinions one way or the other.

One can certainly like Lavin/Mullin, appreciate certain things they did, and still be happy with Anderson as the coach.  Count me in that group.  We'll see how it plays out.

I like what I saw but we have a lot of similar forwards. We could use skill on the perimeter.

I don’t see us adding that kind of player at this stage. We’re deep at both guard spots. We can run three guard sets with Dunn or Williams defending the three.

It looks like Champagnie will be seeing some time at the three which I suprisingly don’t hate.

From what I have gathered watching Anderson thus far, he likes to get cheap and easy points from his forwards in secondary transition. The speed and endurance of opposing big men is an area he can exploit. You do that by rotating fresh bodies that can make a dribble or two to finish.

That lineup isn’t small at all and I wouldn’t have a problem with that 3,4,5. The problem I see is we also have Toro, Moore and Roberts who can’t be move around nearly as easily.

You have to play your best. I think Toro and Moore can play the four. Roberts is probably just a five again this year.

Keep changing out the forwards to keep them fresh and agressive.
