Penny 3 followed by Cole to Moore for the flush.

54-35 Johnnies. Keep it up.

Vince looks like he’s having trouble with the speed of the D1 game.

I think Wusu could end up being all conference by the time he is done.

Toro needs to be in the court for 20 mins for this team to play near its ceiling.

I know they didn't look great vs. BYU but I'm wondering if this team could play a little better than expectations this year.  On the other hand Alexander didn't look great (he'll find it).  Of more concern is Cole, who is a JUCO transfer who I expected more from overall.  He has looked rough of late.

Watching the game on dvr now. Gueye looks like he'd be the best big on our team which is what scores me long term

Kid started off well, but he’s not better than Champagnie. First fifteen minutes of the game we were still in a stupor. We turned it around. Nice game from Greg Williams.

Game results don't impact evaluation of talent. He's bigger, more athletic, and versatile than our guys. I wouldn't take him at St. John's which again is my point about our talent floor.

Greg Williams is starting to come on a bit. Really reminding me of Phil Greene development.

Phil Greene is a pretty good comparison in terms of overall development, but I have one issue with it... Phil Greene’s reputation upon arrival was that he was a combo guard. He really shouldn’t have been. He was a two guard.

Some people wanted to see Williams at the point. I think it would be a disaster. I like that he’s starting to become more confident and with the advantage of getting to play his natural position, I think he could continue to produce, and even carry us on some nights.

So you are comparing him, it seems, to Moore, Roberts and Toro.

With Roberts the injury has to be part of the equation. He looked great in the non-conference last year and leveled off during BE play. Jury is out and needs time.

Toro is a one-year fill in. Different type of player. Hasn’t been as good as I hoped but we will see. He certainly had a better track record it seemed coming in than the Stony Brook kid.

I take Moore all day over the Stony Brook kid from what I’ve seen so far. I think he has really good upside with his length, skill and athleticism.

I like Moore. He'd be a great bench big.

Same for Roberts. Toro is nothing more than spot minutes.

Beggars can't be choosers. Just be happy we have a 6'10 bouncy guy. Needs polish obviously but has some tools. Now add the other kid (TT transfer) and we'll have two 6'10 bouncy forwards. I'd consider that a good start.

I think Toro is better than spot minutes. It’s clear from watching the first few games, he’s not used to the system. But he showed us a little yesterday. He’s pretty good in the half court, and we’re gonna see the zone this year. I think his PT will increase.

I wouldn't describe Moore as bouncy. I think he's agile and long but Roberts is more bouncy.

Roberts is waaaaay more bouncy. Moore is super long, though. He needs to be around the basket and not fall into that Durantitis so many kids with his measurables are plagued with. If you are 6’10 in college your game needs to start with rebounding and dense and go from there

He’s our best half court big man period.
