Certainly no Johnny fans who've been here more than a NY minute overlook the surreal Sly Fox Inn bus trip game that successfully bridged the chasm between Redmen.com and JJ (er BEB?).
Ah the good ole days - I remember them well.
That road trip was the best. Sooooooooo much fun

Anderson’s system may not have worked at Arkansas because one it’s always hard to go home and two  his style doesn’t work in a football centric conference with limited basketball talent that fits his system.

At St. John’s (unfortunately) the ceiling for success is lower, so constantly winning is a big deal. When was the last time that SJU finished above .500 for three straight years? When was the last time that SJU made back to back tournaments.

The other reasons for success is one his system and systems can plug and play players. Also the system doesn’t need 5 star players to be successful just player that want to work hard and are willing to be part of a team. Finally this Systems is great for underrated offensive and team minded players who want to learn to play defense.

One of the most charming things about this team is how complimentary brush are too each other. Champagnie purposely tries to rile up Posh to get him going. Posh and other under classmen have no problem saying that Champagnie is the leader.

This may not win championship but it is a set up to win games and it makes it easy for a basketball centric city to root for them. Being in the largest city and media market in the country will only hell this system work.
