Huge game Saturday win and we guarantee ourselves a 4/5 matchup with X or seton hall.....then on novas side of bracket with no gillipsie (feel awful for him).

Could potentially still finish 7th so need to come out firing....I think 2 more wins might do it ALOT of bubble teams losing....just keep winning.

- can’t believe an inbounds pass might keep us out 😢

All in All being on the bubble in March with 9 big east wins potentially get 10 and 4 seed is a great position to be in.

DePaul loss was back breaking, Butler loss with a missed inbound pass just broke hearts.

Failing, and overcoming failure builds character. No better time to go on a run and show everyone what kind of character they have.

First Four Out

Personally, I am not seriously entertaining this unless we beat SH on Saturday. Huge game.

Only in a wacky pandemic season can Saint John’s be mentioned with Duke and Michigan State, and not be guaranteed to make the tournament.

I'm glad the game on Saturday is at our house. This is like nemesis week. We just swept a Providence team that we've struggled mightily with since Cooley's been there.

Now we've got the Pirates who have been an equal thorn in our side for a while now. Last matchup we made Mamu look like Dr. J.

He's going to to get his. I think the keys to the game are containing Reynolds, Rhoden and Cale while trying to play them even on the boards.

What the tiebreaker? If SJU beats SHU on Saturday they both end up 10-9 and 1-1 against each other. The winner of the tiebreaker would get the 5 seed, assuming X beats Marq.

Since we beat Nova we win the tiebreaker.

Basing this on UConn win over Gtown

St John’s win and X loss - 4 seed playing Hall

St. John’s win and X win - 5 seed playing X

St. John’s Loss and X Loss - I think we are 6 still but I could be wrong not sure what % points would be

If St. John’s losses and Gtown wins we drop to 7th

Weird but if we finish tied with Xavier the tie breaker results are different if we both finish one game over .500 vs if we both finish one game under .500. We win tie breaker if we both finish one game under based on % points.

Can't believe it but I think this is back in play if they can win two games and get into the finals. That's a big if considering this team has proven they can lose to (and beat) anyone.

Agree. Funny but I think less than 2 wins no way and 2 wins definitely or as close to that as possible.

We'll see who we get.  I'm just enjoying 10 league wins for the first time in a long time, and not having to play that first night.  This has been a fun year.

Xavier lost. That's good news for St. John's, I'd say.

Beat Seton Hall and we would be right on the line, 50/50 in the tourney, win that second game we are for sure in!

That sounds about right. Biggest thing is finishing strong.

I still don't understand how the metrics play into where we land presently.  For example, one of the ratings has Seton Hall ahead of us.  I don't understand that.

We have the same record and split our games.  We each beat Uconn sans Bouknight, and they lost the other game with hem.  We both lost to Creighton twice.  Their best conference W is at Xavier, who we split with (they only played them once).  We both split with Gtown.  We beat Prov twice, and they split.  And we beat the best team in the league, who they lost to twice.  OOC, they played a more challenging schedule, and have losses to URI, Oregon and Louisville.  Their only OOC win of any significance is to Penn State, who is not a tournament team.  We likewise beat a team at the bottom of a high major league (BC), but our OOC loss is BYU, a tournament team.
