the republican party will try to swing voters in NY/CAL.  they barely try because there are more realistic states they can win.

The electoral college is a relic of the past. The founding fathers essentially thought Americans were too stupid to make the right decision so a safety valve was put in place. Unfortunately, that's still true for half the country, but it's time that everyone's vote counted.
