Well IS8 is in Jamaica Queens and throughout the playoff weekends all i saw was 3 people in St. Johns shirts. Maybe their fans would rather complain than win by showing support for their programs and showing what it would be like with the college basketball community behind our local high school players

when the school decides to go big time instead of pawning off a minor league product on us, the fans will reappear.

The usual excuse is there are better things to do in glamorous Queens. The same reason why we draw 4-6k in a metro area of 15 million, with well over 100k alumni in the area. Personally, I find it difficult to get worked up over some local AAU games played in an ugly middle school school, but to each his own.

I really can't say I disagree here.  It is pretty pathetic that St. John's student and/or students don't go to watch these guys play.  When Devin Ebanks set his commitment announcement last year during the iS8 playoffs and the news started leaking that he would pick West Virginia, there were about 20 WVU fans the came to the iS8 championship game.

I must have confused him because I had a Hofstra hat on while wearing a SJU shirt.

As for the comment about Devin and WVU, when we played WVU last year the train was packed with Mountaineer fans. I was quite surprised that there are so many WVU fans on Long Island.

Im sick and tired of all of this non-representing. We got to start making a stand in the city once again. I see too many taxi's in Manhattan declaring Syracuse as New York's team. I am sick and tired of UCONN stealing home court advantage at the Garden. I thought this website was meant to revitalize fan interest in St. John's. So stop complaining and start representing otherwise, this city WILL TURN ORANGE instead of RED.

I enjoyed IS8 but it's hard in that gym, can they find a better place to have a tournament at?
