Loyola-Maryland's Coach goes off deep end calling out Wilbon and Kornheiser

(To those who follow the site: sorry it was down for nearly a day; I’m working on installing one of those extravagant locks with four knobs and two combinations.)

The hat tip goes to Deadspin, who ran with this story yesterday (via the Albany Times-Union). The letter drips with sarcasm off the screen, though there are genuine moments, too. It’s a response from a segment PTI did in reaction to Patsos’ decision to double-team Stephen Curry, where Kornheiser and Wilbon disagreed, like most, with Patsos’ decision to double-up on Curry and allow his team to play three-on-four the entire game during Loyola-Maryland’s game against Davidson on Nov. 25.

Patsos has known both Kornheiser and Wilbon for years, and is friendly with them, but they were doing their job in criticizing the tactic.

It was his own quote at the time about the game that led them to question him.

The letter I saw was pretty polite and professinal.  Is there something else?

Yea this isn't odd at all...

As an American I wish we had leaders like McKillop and Curry, who could have gotten the CIA and FBI to talk so we could have prevented the 9-11 tragedy, or saw that Fannie Mae was creating a mortgage crisis coming which could cripple a country. The Davidson basketball family united the way I wish Wall Street would have instead of letting so many Americans retirement be lost. I wish his staff could have advised the administration who got us into a war in Iraq which cost us countless lives, and disabilities, countless money and has gone on longer than WWII. I know these are extreme examples to show that the Davidson basketball family adjusted, made smart choices and unselfish choices for the good of the team.

The guy sees himself as a "character" with a future in TV. This is his way of networking.
