SJU vs Seton Hall
« on: January 29, 2009, 02:07:05 PM »
It has come to my attention that certain people seem to think that Seton Hall is better then Saint Johns.
This is weird since Saint Johns has a better record
The people who support Seton Hall use the excuse that they need more bodies, but Saint John's is missing two key players, and Rob Thomas is hurt
Doesn't that count as the same?

they were better than us last year, and they play good teams closer than we have.
We'll be lucky to beat them once the way we'll shoot it.

we don't do anything well. At least they can score. I predict we'll lose twice to them.
Maybe it's what we nee in the long run.

I think that we will split with them, but have a chance to beat them twice

Who care?

It like talkin bout who is the worst of all by a degree of hair.

Seton Hall is gonna have a lot mo bodies next year. Dont mean they gonna have a good team 'specially when they got no leadership at the helm.

They have a much stronger core of guards who can handle the ball.
We have the wrong coach, and while they might have the same problem, they have talent as the guard position, and that is what you need more than anything to win at the college level.

I see them improving to a top tier team next season with Harvey, Hazell and Theodore in the backcourt.

What will we have? Who will run our offense? They have two point guards better than anything we got. And for all the talk about how useless John Garcia is, he seems pretty good to me.

We'll see how it goes, but I see us losing both games.

next years teams will both have a lot more talent. the match up are pretty even.

evans and garcia- i would take garcia
burrell and pope- yet to be dertermined but i would go with burrell
mase and stix- i would take stix
d j and hazzell- hazzell by a fairly small margin
boothe and harvey- harvey but he seems to be going backwards.

bench- we have what would seem to be four capable perimeter scorers off the bench in q, paris, omari, and hardy, plus if rob has a nother healthy offseason who knows how much better he could be.
i think both teams will be much improved next year and it could come down to coaching
*wipes ketchup from his eyes* - I guess Heinz sight isn’t 20/20.

The guys Gonzalez has brought in to do a job are doing it, provided they are playing.
He can't get players eligible. We can't get ours healthy, or to commit to us.

Hopefully, we get a miracle in the form of a savior from Brooklyn.

Choz, while you're right to point out that the biggest need for this team is a new coach, there really isn't much talent on this team at all.

Burrell, Horne and Kennedy are the only Big East players on this team.
What would any coach do with Dele Coker, and a Sean Evans that draws fouls,
and almost never converts them into points?

The bigger problem with Roberts than his coaching is his inability to land any real talent.
They've been playing decent basketball for what they have to work with at the moment.

Roberts has dug that hole. It's his judgement that has put SJU in this position.
