MF said
-he thinks Norm has to turn it around next year, but the AD wasn't specific.
-he has little to do with the school.
-the school has gotten better  and tougher since he graduated, but the program has gotten worse.
-the AD wants to talk about soccer and baseball.

This is today?  I guess it's the last time Fatsesca talks St. John's basketball.

Y'all know Mullin isn't really the GM of Golden State anymore (http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?f=/c/a/2009/03/09/SPFD16C2QF.DTL)... I do wonder what he's doing hanging out with Louie when his team is still playing... hm.  Are they planning a move out of nowhere?

Also said he wants Norm to secceed here and that Setoh Hall and Rutgers have hard a had time recruiting, but they are not St Johns

I listened to both NY sports stations coming into work this afternoon and both hinted that Calapri could have been at STJ but it was headed off by Looie (or a consultant to the team).

Mike mentioned on air he pushed the Univ to bring in Calapri but they wanted to go in a different direction.

yea i heard mike say that too...hes close with cal, so he was pushing for him with the administration...cal has stated in the past how much he wanted the st johns job...im gonna end it right there, bc if i say one more time how much i want cal here someones most likely gonna tell me to go blow him

When did Cal say that?  Its all rumors.  If Maven was always right Roberts would be coaching at Oral Roberts right now.
