Will we ever win a Big East championship with Norm Roberts?

This is one thing I do not understand.  People continue to say Norm deserves another year due to the Jarvis scandal and the progress we made.  OK whatever.  But, when evaluting a coach, it's not what progress he's made or recruits he may get, that should make a fan want a coach back.  Instead the question should be "Can this coach win us a conference championship?"  The goal should never be a NCAA championship.  That's outrageous.  But a Big East one?  Yes it's obviously tough, but that should be the goal.  Not to finish in the top eight, or to always be about average.  The question should not be, "What has Norm done?"  It should be "Does Norm show the potential to be at the TOP of the Big East?"

I just find it hard to imagine anyone in the administration or even fans, that can seriously think Norm can do this. 

Everyone knows my opinion, but what about you guys?

If he gets Lance, I think Lance stays two years.  I don't buy this Lance guaranteed lottery pick next year stuff. 

If Lance stays a second year and we bring in Pinkston and a point guard, I could see us possibly winning with our seniors.

I wouldn't put Hardy up there with those names.  I don't think he'll see the floor much because of his defense.  We all know how Norm values his hustle guys.

the only way norm wins a be championship is if the top half of the conference defects to the ACC.

If he can't play defense like you say why did Norm give him a scholarship then...   if he was recruited as a scorer he better play A LOT next year...
