What becomes of UConn?

With last night's loss, the departures of A.J. Price, Jeff Adrien, and Craig Austrie as well as the potential losses of Hasheem Thabeet and Stanley Robinson, the impending investigation into the UConn program and its potential fallout, and the health of nearly 67 year old Jim Calhoun, what becomes of UConn?

This is such a crucial time for Uconn hoops right now.  Calhoun made this program and a coach like him makes or breaks it for a school.  If they get hit hard and he leaves, they are in serious trouble.  Kids go to that farm to play for him and to develop into an NBA talent under him.  If they screw up the hiring, they will be finished.

Look at Memphis.  I almost feel sorry for them.  They were what they were ONLY because of Calipari.  Now, they are irrelevant.  It's almost sad.  Unlinke St. John's, they don't really have the chance to be great again.

Memphis has a big enough name right now that if they make a good hire here they can stay a step below what they are now, like an xavier, but they have to make that happen now, cause if this next coach fails they will become another mid-major.

as for uconn it is hard to say, will they be able to get a good enough coach to come in and take over? it all depends on the sanctions.

If Uconn had won the national championship this year, it would have been a terrible black eye on the NCAA.  Depending on the outcome of the investigation, would they consider stripping a team of the title?  Uconn almost HAD to lose.

Why can't memphis be good again w their facilities and money?  They were good before cal back when they were called memphis state and had a pg by the name of penny hardaway.  They won't be a 1 or 2 every year but success can occur at memphis sans Cal.

Because C-USA was 10x better before it was raided by the Big East.  They might not fall to a Fordham status, but they should not expect to ever be a one or two seed again.  It is kind of sad actually.
