Lances's official visit to St. John's: How would you handle it?

Apparently Bill Self was on deck first and now we get a crack at Lance. I think that's to our advantage. If you were Norm Roberts what approach would you take when making the pitch to Lance?

What would you tell him in the sitdown, where would you bring him and who would you have there etc..?

I'd pitch it to him like this. He will get time to play both PG and SG so he can showcase everything he has. I'd have something place to show him what you want to accomplish with him next season go over some lineup combos etc.

Tell him unlike Bill Self we've always want him and haven't stopped he is our #1 priority. We're in the Big East and face facts the BE is going to be weaker next season so with him we're poised to make a run. Tell him the sky is the limit and if brings them back it would be huge and honestly it would.

The one bad part is the campus will be a ghost town. Honestly we need to start getting kids on campus in the spring well before their senior years because the campus looks nice and people are out and about its actually pretty nice scene. Hopefully whatever staff is there including the guy that picks up the lunch trays should know who Lance Stephenson is and know he is going to be on campus.

Excellent specifics. I would point to the calendar and tell Lance that by the time you turn around in Kansas it's going to be April 2010 and you'll be on your way to the NBA. Do you really want to spend the time adjusting to a totally different environment, getting used to a new system, competing for time (regardless of what you've been told) and attention with guys like Xavier Henry when you can stay home and be guaranteed a starring role at St. John's, play at MSG, enjoy constant NY media coverage and play in the Big East? And by the way it's not so easy for your folks to get a copy of the Lawrence Journal-World in Brooklyn.
