Can't argue with that. I could be mistaken but i think Miami OH is very good academic school as well, and his father played professionally for many years and guided him well.
Miami is an attractive Midwest campus (outside of Cincy) and was actually initially named one of the so-called Public Ivy schools in the 80s. It's also usually the trickiest answer to the trivia question:
Which four schools had a President and a Super Bowl winning quarterback graduate from the school?
My cousin was telling me that Johnny Dawkins told him that there was a shooting drill that he would work on with Bryant in preparation for the Olympics, which involved trying to hit ten shots from five different places around the arc. The highest score ever reported was Szczerbiak's 47. It took Bryant all morning, but he was so competitive that he wouldn't quit until he at least tied Szczerbiak's number.
