We All Know It Goes On....

I, briefly spoke with someone who is very, much into the loop when it comes to the high school and college basketball scene.  He spoke on anonymity of the person (former Big East assistant coach) who he mentioned.  I probably could've gotten it out of him, if I really wanted to.  I'll probably do so at a later time, if I run into him again.

Nevertheless, the former Big assistant told him (paraphrase), "He was glad that he had gotten out of the Big East."  And, the person whom I spoke with asked him, "Why?"  The former Big East assistant went on to say (again, paraphrasing), "Because, they cheat like crazy!"

First of all, I know cheating goes on on collegiate level.  But, what I took from conversation was the Big East hoops assistant believed from past experiences that many of the Big East schools cheat more than the average conference.  I think if that is the case; it's due to the size of the conference and recruiting becomes a serious feeding frenzy for many of the assistant and head coaches in the Big East.

I think this thread will really get Baldi on a roll.  LOL   Nevertheless, it was somewhat interesting.

All you have to do is ask the right questions to the right people and its pretty easy to find out who is cheating. BY obvious I mean kids like Derrick Caracter riding around the Louisville campus in a Lexus. Same sort of thing is probably being done up at UConn,Villanova,Syracuse,West Va and you can probably add Cincy to that list now along with some others

  St. john's just isn't any good at it (cheating).  Add it to the list,  right behind recruiting and scoring more than 60 points in a game.   Although we do dominate the Big east in most scoring droughts over 7 1/2 minutes.

lol yea our scoring droughts are remarkable. I cant wait to tell my grandkids of the mythical tale where the johnnies barely scored 10 at the half against the dukies a few years back.

Syracuse definitely. Cincy, we all know that program was built on cheating. Calhoun is dirty. It's no secret. Nova, I'm not so sure is cheating. What about Seton Hall? Who the **** would want to play there?

Well I'd like to hear some more concrete things from this "big east assistant" on the cheating that goes on. Honestly this shouldn't be news to anyone as we all know that schools either break or bend some rules.

lol krusty that was funny. marco i dont think they are clean but i also dont think they are fully cheating . put it like this they have dirt on their left pants leg that they can just wipe off opposed to mud bathing

Siena is clean and they are better than St. John's.   There are plenty of clean schools that don't need to cheat.  Those that do cheat are USUALLY doing small insignificant things anyway. 

Football is where things get crazy because there are so many nearly anonymous players and so much more at stake.

That is a pretty cynical approach.  Guilty until proven innocent?

I know kids that were recruited to Siena.  I know kids that have played at Siena.  The kids that choose Siena or other MAAC schools are happy enough to have D-1 interest.  Can you picture Rossiter giving a list of demands?  LOL
