Seton Hall is the biggest wildcard team in the Big East. They could be really awesome or be really terrible. They have a lot of talent but also personality on that team then you throw Bobby G into the mix and who knows. Harvey, Theodore, Lawrence is very talented to go along with Stix, Hazel, Pope, and Garcia.

As individuals they have some super talented players but I don't know how they all play together on one court with one ball. I think they might be a very streaky team beating the likes of UConn but then losing to USF.

ND, Cincy, Seton Hall, and GTown are all more talented and better coached than us.  GTown had an uncharacteristically down year and fell apart --- will not happen again --- would bet on it.  Cincy added Lance and should potentially flirt with the top 25.  SHU and ND who knows, I could see us doing better, I could also see us not being in their league.

I think it's a stretch to say that Bobby Gonzalez is a better coach than Roberts.
They both stink.

Um, Mason at the 4, and Burrell off the bench?

I think not.

I think you'll see that line up, but it won't start.

It's not so crazy. Kennedy rebounds better than any of the other players, unless Dele can secure his boards and not foul.  If they're running, that's a lineup they can start - and bring Burrell in at the 16 minute mark.

Start an undersized center in Evans, and a twig Mason?

A big team with a pg will kill us inside.

Burrell jumps center for the opening tip.  So, if for no other reason than that, I believe he will be in the starting lineup.  Booth, Paris, Mase, JB and Evans will start.  DJ or Hardy will probably be first off the bench depending on the flow of the game and what the opponent has on the floor.

Brownlee is the most intriguing player on the team to me.  He sounds like he adds a great deal of athleticism to the team.  If Norm sticks to a running and pressure defense game plan, this team should be fun to watch.  Hopefully, the victories come too.  I"m excited.

Unless he's much better this year, I'm not sure Boothe is going to keep his job.
There has got to be other options.

I thought the same thing. A loss, yes.  not a key one.  Its not like Chris Wright transfered out of g'twn or something. ;)

Syracuse #67

Woa. That's shocking to me. 67 would have them in the NIT. Possibly.
Onuaku, Jackson and Rautins could all be All League honors guys.

From I what I read, Wes Johnson is very good, too.

If Triche or Jardine can run the offense, this might be a stronger, deeper team than last year. They have another biog man off the bench. Plus Jones, Southeland and Joseph.

I saw sweet sixteen again. 12-6 in the BE.

Poison, I think you're underrating how great Flynn was for them.  The kid was a top 6 pick and he made their offense happen.  It can be argued that Devendorf and Harris were the next best 2 guys on that squad too.  I know Rautins can shoot but it's going to get off open jumpers next yr without the penetration of Flynn/Devendorf.  Their bigs are solid but I think they have some serious holes and will have a tough time winning in conference.

We'll see. I think if you give Rick Jackson 20 shots per game, he can score over 20 points per game. Offense wasn't Cuse's problem. They didn't really get after it defensively, and when they did, the bigs got into foul trouble, and they were thin up front.

Riley will help them there. Onuaku is a senior, and is said to be in the best shape of his life.

The X-Factor will be Wes Johnson. Is he the real deal? Boeheim seems to think so.

Poison do you actually analyze teams or do you just pick the teams you think are good and assume they will always be that good?

Cuse loses their top THREE players.  Yet they are sweet 16 and gtown sucks despite returning Monroe and Wright?  I'd put a wager down right now that GTown is better than Cuse.  $100 bucks.  You want to take it?

Kid, I didn't realize that I was speaking to such an expert.

Didn't I just analyze Syracuse?

Apparently not well enough.

What I said was 12-6 in the BE.
We'll see if I'm right come March.

Programs like Syracuse reload. They don't add players that aren't BE ready. Few coaches excel like Jim Boeheim with new talent and line ups. Maybe I'm wrong. We'll find out. I've heard from people close to that program that Johnson, Triche and Riley will more than make up for the loss of Flynn, Devondorf and Harris.

Another reason to be optimistic about Syracuse is a prediction from the HOF coach himself. Boeheim has been very clear in saying that his class will be ready. If you've watched college basketball for the last 30 years, you know it makes sense to have faith in Jim Boeheim.

Especially when he asks you too. Because it's not his style.
