I wonder if Telfair will start?

I also wonder if any Lincoln "superstar" will ever live up to the hype.

Nice to see Artest playing with some former Johnnies.

Queensbridge is going to murder them if they can get any contribution from Showtime.

What has Show been doing lately?  Euro?

Can anyone provide any information on why Dwight is our only player playing in these events?

That's a damn good question. The summer is the berst indication of how much a player will improve for the coming season. Are they playing in real games? Against talented players? Are they working out?

Summer leagues are just to keep your wind up but bottom line its very encouraging that Dwight is putting the ball in the bucket in volume from deep at an efficient rate.

Cause the other guys are on campus playing and working out. If memory serves me, as a JUCO transfer, he is treated similar to a frost, meaning he can't work out on campus till school starts.

Iona's Steve Burrt owning sht

http://www.fiveborosports.com/ssp/blog?id=226

The 6-foot-1 Burtt, who for my money would be in the NBA if not for his size, led Gold’s Gym with 29 points, making 11-of-19 shots and 3-of-5 from 3-point range. Mike Glover added 26 points, many of them against his older brother Anthony, and Gordon Malone, a former West Virginia standout, had 21, as Gold’s Gym topped Queensbridge, 113-108, holding on to an early lead. Williams had a game-high 33 points and 12 rebounds, showing how well-rounded his game has become.

Burtt, a streetball veteran, said he considered Nike Pro City the best of the many summer leagues in New York City.

“It’s real, organized basketball,” he said. “You know you’re going to play against guys at your level or better.”

The game held plenty of intrigue and highlight-reel moments, the best atmosphere, Burtt said, he has witnessed as a player in the league. Gold’s Gym raced out to a 27-16 first-quarter lead, but found itself trailing 50-47 late in the half before Burtt scored five straight points to give his club a 56-52 halftime lead. After Queensbridge got even at 78 with 3:50 left, the crowd on its feet, the gym shaking, Burtt drilled another trifecta, giving Gold’s Gym the lead for good, 81-78.

First off son, I got mad respct fo Dwight and what he's been able to overcome so dont guess nuthin bout how I feel bout the brother.

Second, its street ball bre! C'mon now! Its all bout showboatin. Nature of the beast. If y'all want to play real ball, y'all know what to do and where to go. If y'all wanna shimmy and shake, y'all go to the park.

So yeah Kemba and Corey is showboatin. Nuthin wrong wit a lil fun. But this thing dont get you ready fo the Big East.
