Hows your summer going?

We only have so much to discuss in the offseason and I was thinking I haven't seen a couple of regulars posting lately. So here is your chance to chime in....

How's your summer going? Any vacations? Go to any ball games? How bad is your golf game?


My summer so far has been great. I've been having plenty of fun in the sun(when its not raining of course). I'm in a co-ed beach volleyball league with some hot chicks I met from the gym who are absolutely terrible at volleyball. We lose pretty much every week but thats ok 

I've been getting out to play golf at least once a week. My overall game is getting much more consistent but wow is it a tough game. A stroke here and there times 18 holes will really add up fast.

Entourage makes Sundays my Fun day. I just love that 1/2 hour and I always wish there was more at the end of each episode.

If you don't watch "Hung" right before it, you should. It's pretty damn funny.

Not bad yo. Got a few days off. Chillin wit my girl at the beach. Its all good livin.

Baldi's summer has been going well. Spending alot of time on the beach, the water is unusually warm and clean thus far(but you fruits afraid of sharks wouldnt know). Ive also been watching some high school kids up at the St Francis Summer Classic, some decent talent but probably no bigtime D1 players. I am ready for some football to start cause baseball just isnt that exciting for me this year

My summer has been great but jam packed.  Between planning for my wedding, going to three other weddings - including one I'm a groomsman in - its been busy.  Two bachelor parties have been awesome in nyc and chicago, wedding in chicago next weekend, and otherwise spending time at the beach in the hamptons. Work has been picking up a bit which is good but will prob slow in august.

Glad you asked. Went to Panama for two weeks. My first week the US actually played Panama in soccer. When I tell the whole country shutdown....I mean the whole country was at bars, in homes, in parks (out door huge jumbo tron) and thousands showed up. Decided to go to a sports bar to watch the match with my girlfrieds family. On the way to the bar Panama scores and everyone in the car except me was going nuts. Get to the bar and all of my girls family are bragging and talking sh_t. I really could careless but they would not stop talking. That's when i really started to get into the game. Finally USA scorced and the whole bar went aagghhh and i jumped out of my seat at the sametime yelling YES with both arms in the air!!! It was so funny!! The US went on to win a match i originally could careless about. This is the only time I have watched a whole game (last game was the womens when Brandi took off her shirt). I might just retire in Panama, it felt like Miami and the women are sooooo beautiful.

Ive never been a huge fan of clubs and my fiancee has been doing it since she was 16 so its kinda old hat to her.  If we werent so busy wedding planning we prob would, but weve been sticking to the chiller bars/pubs this season like the Public House (which has the Southampton Ale microbrewery), Featherstones, Driver's Seat, 75 Main etc. Went to Pink Elephant last summer which was pretty crazy but not now since they made it a day club too, looks pretty wild.

Actually my summer is going great... I have taken trips to Miami, Vegas, AC and Upstate NY. Was the best man in my friends wedding. And I just celebrated my 2 year old's son's birthday with my family and friends and he had a blast! That's why I was joking around with you.

I guess your having a bad day and that's why you couldn't take a joke. Or it's that some take jokes better than others.

On a lighter note... FYI... I actually think you doing a good job with the site. Keep up the good work and I can't wait to see the new one.

Awesome. I've never been to Vegas before but I hear great things.

I'm really excited for the new site. I really want to get a whole bunch of stuff up as time is ticking but I think it should be really cool once its up.

Southampton/Water Mill

I was in Hampton Bays this weekend - had dinner at Oakland's.

Were you a regular at the Drift, Foggy Goggle, Boardy Barn, Neptunes, etc. Baldi?

If you need Chicago suggestions (bars, restaurants, and the like), holler.  And the planning for wedding sucks - I was doing that all last summer.  Feel like I'm doing nothing this year without all of that crap to wade through.

And as for me it's been an ok summer; been cool in Chicago, been hanging out with the dog to burn some vacation days, got some friends coming in to town. Been keeping a low profile and saying goodbye to a number of cool co-workers who are moving on... spending a few months not traveling (after 4th of July in Asheville) before I have 2 weddings in October (Bethesda + Montauk).  So just chillin'.

Saturday day at Neptunes was sick, way too many juiceheads though. Drift,Turtle Bay, and THe Beach Bar were mey type

i've been working as hard as ever but i've enjoyed it and learned a lot. this fall is only going to get tougher. 

Hey everyone.  Haven't been around much at all this summer, so I thought this would be a good spot to check in.

I've been working at the sleepaway camp that I've grown up at att summer (this is my 13th summer at the camp).  Been very, very busy and just worn out/taking weekend trips during days off.  It's been an absolute blast, and the most rewarding job I have had (yes, FAR more rewarding than writing about high school & college hoops LOL).

Been keeping up with hoops news and goings-on, though.  Glad to hear that everyone's summer has been going well also.

I am sure that Tha Kid made a typo, because as we all know the legal drinking age in NY has been 21 for quite a while. I’m sure that the future Mrs. Tha Kid, also an attorney if memory serves me, would have respected the state laws.

Now back to summer, I am having a great summer despite no major trips or plans. A few Yankee games and even a Met’s game to check out the new Tarp Field, I mean Citi Field. We ended up sitting next to Chris Monasch, so just proves what a small world we live in!

My son and I did take a road trip a few weeks ago to Scranton to watch the SWB Yankees beat the sox off of the Pauteckett Red Sux. Ended up being a doubleheader due to a previous rain out.

Can you imagine that they offer free parking???

I don't know about NY but I know most clubs here in NJ do offer a "teen night" which is a night they shut down the club exclusively for children ages 17 and under.
