a thought on the season
« on: September 01, 2009, 06:10:05 PM »
Since I’ve seen more improvement in more players under Norm then I can remember seeing in a very long time, I think it’s safe to say that we’ll see improvement in many players. And certainly a healthy Burrell and a healthy and more experienced Boothe can be expected to be better. And equally certainly the talent added far outweighs the talent lost.

So are we gonna be better? Without a doubt. But more than middle of the pack? Only if at least one player steps up a lot and becomes a big-time Big East player. And we certainly haven’t seen anyone do that. A number of candidates, but no sure thing. I’m not even sure there’s anyone that’s likely. But I’m hoping...

On another note – if Rob is healthier and has gained back even some of his athleticism, there’s no way he’s the odd man out in the frontcourt. Lots of folks may play, but if he’s better than last year, he’ll get his minutes.

Choz, I think we call all agree that Horne, Kennedy and Evans have become pretty good role players. They improved. Just not enough to win at this level.

In the MAAC, they'd be stars. In the CAA, too probably. In the BE, you need to be Scotty Reynolds or Kemba Walker.

But yet we haven't had a player of either of those guys caliber during the Norm Roberts Error...

I can't wait to hear who Jacstorm thinks has improved so much.
