Which Big East team do you think is overrated, which is underrated?

Gtown is overrated. They've shown nothing that says they're ready for the season. Especially not to the tune of a top ranked program—which is where experts seem to think they'll finish.

It's a generous prediction that really comes from the coach's recent success.

Underrated, I'd go with Marquette. Their system scares me more than their players. If you already have talented players in your system, with good coaching, they step up and perform just like then guys who left.

This is what I expect from Marquette. 25 wins, and at least an NCAA victory.

I agree on Georgetown being overrated. IMO, they have an overrated coach and the PG Wright is awful.

Wright is 10x better than anyone we've had last few years.  I bet he makes one of the all- league teams this year.

Baldi is as unreasonable about gtown as he is about iona.  Don't bother arguing.

I know.   Funny thing is...i hate g'town as much as the next guy, but for some reason i find myself defending them against Marco.  I just think its a bit absurd to call Wright a terrible big east point guard.  Its just not true. 14 ppg  and  48% from the field as a sophomore. We'd kill for that.

I hate georgetown too --- but using 2 games we beat them at home in March is the dumbest reason I've ever heard of to explain why they will suck in the following year.  By the time GTown got to us they were beaten down and their high hopes had been dashed.  It's not a good sign when a team "quits" like GTown did, but at the same time, it's the only time it's happened since JTIII got there so I think we have to chalk it up to a one time thing.  THEY deserve the benefit of the doubt.  Marco ALWAYS gives StJ and Norm the benefit of the doubt but they DONT deserve it.  It's a classic case of a homer who doesn't know too much.

Georgetown loses a 1st round pick and a 4 year starter. Theyre so called "10x better PG" cant even get the ball up the court and when he does-he cant get the ball down low to the So called Big time center. MAybe Wright is a good player, but I just dont see it-not in the overrated JT3's system. The current players dont seem to be enjoying playing in his system and he haasnt won jack sht since Eschericks players left

Has anyone actually been rated yet?

Experienced guys like Sapp and Summers should have been leaders last year, and they disappeared. Our leaders were sophs.

There is no good reason for them to be ranked ahead of us,
or for anyone to believe that we won't beat them again.

Underrated - St. John's, we will finish top 6-7 in the BE. based on the last 5 years, it makes no sense. but we are due a solid season, yes, even with norm roberts.
