Roster management, Hardy & Brownlee.

we were all on Norm 6 months ago when he signed 2 JUCO's giving him
9 to fill next year and at the time I 100% agreed he screwed up.

But I change my mind. With Hardy & Brownlee, he filled our 2 biggest holes
(after Stith signed as 2nd PG), a 3pt shooter & a 4/5 (I know JB2 is a 3/4).
You could say he should have done it with frosh, but the program & fans
needed to win this year, & Hardy & JB2 were the right medicine so far.

After JB1 had a subpar year last year & Rob T's injuries, he
properly late brought in a big who could help immediately.

We all have said we need to win this year to fill the large class with quality recruits.

His 2 late JUCO's are not only immediate rotation contributors,
some could argue might start by end of year

Anyone else changing their mind like me ?

I'm surprised no one chimed in with opinions.

This was a hot topic offseason, especially from the Norm bashers.
I realize its much more fun to review our 5-0 start!!

nice players...not game changers at the elite level.

i'm glad they're here.  without them we'd be screwed and could probably be 2-5.

with them, no one is predicting we'll upset duke and finish top four in the big east.

it's all about your expectations for the program.

I think Hardy and Brownlee are working out well for this season and next season. Since Norm desperately needs to win now, I can see why he got them.

My only concern is for the '11-'12 season when we will have Quincy, Omari, Malik, Roberts, and 9 Freshmen? Unless Norm really steps up his recruiting or gets a few JUCO's, I can foresee some rough years.

Norm is going to have one hell of a task at hand come the '11-'12 season. I can't see them going out and finding 9 freshman in that recruiting class. Norm is going to have to find a couple of JUCO kids to balance out the roster.

Omari and Stith both look like they both can be pretty good Big East players when they mature. So add a JUCO big man or 2 into the mix with hopefully a few standout recruits and your not rebuilding all over again.
