Lets hear what you like....

as well as

what you don't like....

What you don't like how do we turn that negative into a positive this season...

I like a lot of what I saw today.  We can really run.  We are really athletic.  I just wish Norm made this team push at ever chance.  They look good even in tight 4-3 secondary breaks.  Half court is a little difficult, but DJ is a great point-forward and him and Evans have great chemistry.  Evans made some great cuts and that DJ alley-oop pass to him was something else.

We gotta keep pushing the ball.  I'd like the lineup of Hardy-DJ-Brownlee-Evans because DJ can get into the lane and set up all of the other guys for shots.

We have to be better on the boards.  I think that will be the achilles heal this season.

There is more talent across the board,
but they dont stay focused for more than a few minutes at a time.

Now is the time to correct that, and if we can, we'll dance.

The thing is I don't think we've played that well so far. We've seen glimpes from everyone but haven't put it all together. With that being said we haven't played that well and we're 6-1 with a tougher schedule than we've had in years past. I'm genuinely excited about the potential we have.

As I said before the game, we needed to run even after a made shot by Duke.  Half court offense was always going to be a problem.  We needed to be tougher on defense.  They got a few too many easy layups without being punished.  Of course, when JB went down and DJ got 2 early fouls, we had to stay out of foul trouble and preserve available bodies.

I hope that we saw signs of Paris coming out of his 4 game funk.  If he plays like he did last year, and Mase comes back healthy, we will have a lot of fire power.  JB can then focus on playiing D and rebounding---and just let the offense come to him.

I loved what I saw from Evans.  He is so naturally aggressive.  Boothe played a good game.  I don't know what his numbers were, but I thought he did so much to help the team today.  He handled pressure and he drove and dished it off several times.  Coker looked great.  I hope he can produce like that against Cuse and UCONN.  If Hardy could have hit a few from outside, things might have been a bit different.  I think over the course of the season, people will see what kind of shooter he is.  He did go to the basket strong a couple of times.

The play where DJ drove and put up the alley oop for Brownlee is a play that Norm should make the team watch on film, and practice, until they can do it in their sleep.  Too often, the bigs have just stood by and watched the guy going to the hoop.  Duke ran that play several times against UCONN last week.

We need to learn not to let up after playing 30 seconds of excellent defense.  Force the shot clock violation as much as possible.  All in all, we played a great game for 30 minutes and poorly for 10 minutes (in two separate stretches) against one of the best teams in the country.  Let's try to build some momentum off this loss.

I thought that DJ's alley-oop was to Evans?  The play before DJ drove and had a beautiful feed to Brownlee on he baseline.  Brownlee looked really comfortable finishing at a difficult angle with a man on him.

DJ just seems to have great chemistry with both big men and they cut EXPECTING to receive the ball.  I don't remember our guys cutting so frequently or so hard the past few years.

When Mase comes back, I think we go huge stretches without a true point in the game.  Hardy is more than capable of bringing the ball up, and DJ and Hardy can run the offense from the half court.  Mase is a solid ball-handler himself and it would be impossible to match up with that speed 1-4 with Evans at the five if Norm had them push every possession.  We could have four 35% + 3-pt shooters on the court at once.
