Listened on the radio..will watch game tomorrow morning. We are so damn sloppy with the ball. We have to do a better job. 7-1 feels good!!! Crazy room for improvement...we can get better. Looking forward to see how we fare in the BE.

Slightly dismayed to hear "Let's go Huskies!" chants going on during final minute of a SJU victory over an SEC team....on our home court!   just sayin'.

Was anyone expecting a big turnout for our game? Lets be real I think most people want to enjoy the game on their HD unless they wanted to see the game after.

I thought the team played tough defensively and we struggled offensively. I liked the fact we came out to play in the 2nd half. DJ is really playing some serious basketball.

I dont think we can complain about fans in the stands if we're at home watching

Coker played well. Hardy looked pretty good. Horne hit some jumpers. Rob Thomas scored a basket on all 5 Georgia defenders, and drew 16 fouls on one single play. Only one foul was called.

Kennedy's passing was up and down. Not his best game. Boothe was messy, but a little better than earlier in the season.

Watching UK vs Uconn it's clear, we have a long way to go.
Those are teams are worth the money spent.

unreal how good uconn is. they are a horrible shooting team. all points in that game were drives and layups...

Dele was great again.  We are sooooo bad as a team rotating on defense.  We are also below average in size and rebounding down low, but Dele changes all of that.  He's a goofy dude still, but he looks like a duck in water helping from the weakside on shot blocks.  Honestly, the best I've seen in college basketball this year.  I can't believe I just wrote that, but it's so true.

Impressed when Dele missed a chippie early on offense and then wanted to do his usual nonsensical/frustrated grab of the opponent 90+ feet from the basket, but backed off.  Showed he is learning.

Hardy has a really good looking drive to the basket--excellent jump stop.  He did it against Duke as well.  Maybe we should utilize this more?

Also, Brownlee and Evans should not have the privilege of handling the ball from the top of the key.  They are both either a TO or a charge waiting to happen.

DJ needs to play better in the first half of games.  His passing is incredible and nobody can prevent him from getting to the basket, but he had butter fingers tonight and missed some chippies.  Evans needs to do a better job of catching the ball as well.  Those two cost us almost 20 points on missed chippies and dropped passes.

I'm not sure, Boothe, Lawrence, Hardy, Brownlee and Coker aren't a better starting 5. They were finishing. Evans has some very good, and some very bad games. He was off balance today. Coker and Brownlee held the fort down low.

Imop coker gets the game ball. He keeps his position under the basket now, rebounds, blocks shots, and showed some real poise and iq offensively.

In the 2nd half, the most exciting play I saw was watching Coker grab an offensive rebound, let his man fly him, and then he layer it in. Smart play. It was Rob Thomas-esque.

I didn't think Thomas would contribute much this year, but I think we need him for 10 minutes or so to be a junkyard dog.  His hands are like glue traps and that is so refreshing when Evans (and sometimes DJ) are fumbling the ball around like crazy. Every rebound around him is his.   He's also good for getting to the line almost instantly after being inserted.  He has a great pivot and he's really the only player on our team that shot fakes down low.  So bringing him in after Evans and co. get swatted 3-4 times, is a guaranteed up and under for two.

Evans is an enigma to me.  How does he catch a pass one play running full speed and slam it like he's Dominique and then drop an underhand lob the next?  How does he hustle his arse off to get a rebound and then not box out the next possession?  He doesn't win a heck of a lot of 50/50 balls.

Omari reminds me of the guys we had on the 99 team.  Big, strong, versatile, smart, etc.  I think he'll be a key sub all season.  I'd be shocked if he didn't start next season.

I was at the game tonight.  I was disgusted with the way we handled the ball tonight.  Some really AWFUL decisions.  I also think Sean Evans having so much success off the dribble in the Duke game was fools gold, because he got ripped like crazy today.

We played solid (not great) defensively.  DJ really played a great 2nd half.  Carried the team on his back on the way to the double digit lead.  And yes, the fan support was pathetic tonight.

Sean didn't do much off the dribble against Duke either. More of his buckets were assisted off of DJ drives.

I agree with you on most points though Theo.

Exactly.  Sean's strength is cutting and finishing.  He is not a creator.  He should not have the privilege to handle the ball from outside the FT line.  Simple as that.  He's a TO or charge waiting to happen.

one of my main gripes with the team, and i guess more specifically with norm was our lack of movement in the offense.

and i know im not alone on this one. Bob knight brought it up numerous times throughout the broadcast. especially during the last two minutes, when we had 0 fgs during most (and it might actually be all) of that time.

one possession boothe had the ball, and everyone else was just standing around. [and it may of been the posession out of the timeout that led to a turnover.]

if the school isnt going to get rid of norm, we need an x's and o's guy on his staff. our set plays are terrible.
